Hehe lag dont increase move speed, player in lag stay on one place or goes in one direction and especially can not use abilities. This is pure speed/teleport hack.

Any Mesmer player would be able to look at him and say “Yep, that Mesmer has shadowstep with an initiative pool so large it’d make a Rev blush.”

In otherwords, no Mesmer should be portaling to your feet over and over again in the space of 10 seconds XD.

It was also funny to see him appear on point when you were capping/holding as he landed right in the well you’d dropped. If he’d actually run into the point 1) we’d of seen him coming, and 2) he would have rolled or gone around it (wasnt covering the whole point). After that it was eternal blinks into your face and away again XD

I can see thieves and mesmers abusing the heck out of this, using decoy or any sort of invisibility and traveling across the map.

Well I guess Anet will have to give this cheater a whole 6 month ban for doing something that deserves a permanent ban.

Anyone want to place a bet this player isn’t banned in say the next month?

What I’m saying is that I won home and the mesmer left a portal there.

I know that it lasts for 30 seconds. So I waited for he portal to visibly disappear before leaving, and as soon as I walk far enough for the mesmer to decap, the mesmer magically appears and there is a portal there.

So either there is a glitch with the portal visibly disappearing when it shouldn’t, or these people were telehacking and casting a portal to make it look like they ported there.

it can be speed hack or lag.
Lag can make you moves disconnected, but u die pretty fast, cause ur unable to defend urself.

I had some matches against him and I asked him if he was lagging, he said yes, but I don’t buy it. He was moving like if he was, but I thought about some potential hacking too.

At 1:17 you see him go down, and with the defiant buffs procd, teleports to the reapers feet AFTER going down.

At 1:50 with no Mesmer in sight from the spawn to the point (mes isnt running any stealth from torch, no sign of decoy (is all wells), no MI cause Gwell), Mes appears on point proccing the Necro’s well.

At 2:04 Mes uses blured frenzy, then appears below the necro (possible blink, or teleport hack). Mes then iLeap’s to the left side of the necro. Necro gets caught in a stun lock and after breaking out attempts to heal at 2:11. In the same instant, at 2:11 Mes sword AA’s (missing necro, out of range), then at 2:12 teleports on top of the necro, striking him with another AA. Even if the mes is running blink, it’d be on CD (after 2:04), and iLeap clone wasn’t present. Even so, iLeap would still be on CD. Mes then dodge rolls away (2:13) and blurred frenzies (missing, out of range, no attack procs). After that, 2:15, mes teleports to necro again for stomp.

After all that, mesmer moves around freely, no teleporting, no jumping, no “lagging”, rofl.

It’s the 2:46 fight where things get really ridiculous as the mesmer repeatedly teleports off point to the necro’s feet and away again, over, and over, and over XD

I was the ele on his team this match and yeah, he was definitely cheating. I also reported him after that game. This guy was legit porting from one fight to the other in seconds xD

Mesmer main, it was interesting breaking down the impossibility of it XD

Pretty man-mode usage of a teleport hack. Blaming it on lag is hilarious. If it were packet loss, he wouldn’t be able to fire off skills consistently. Just watch the fight between 3:00 – 3:45 for laughs. What a legend.

Dealing damage to 1 person across the map then teleporting to the OP and instantly doing damage to him? That is NOT lag.

Hope Anet gives what this guy deserves!

There is a lot people doing it in PVP, just they are hard to catch.
How often i left a point and 1 second later, someone was there trying to decap it. With any chance that he walked until the point without being seen.

This mes is beyond stupid, dunno how he hasn’t gotten banned yet. He managed to do this on stream in front of over 200 ppl.

This might be unrelated but, is there a necro skill that can pull downed allies? I’ve been randomly pulled or teleported to mostly allied necros while in downstate without doing anything myself.

Had a mes on my team that was also seemingly pulled/teleported to an allied necro although having already used downstate decoy. I thought it was weird but then again I don’t know kitten about necros.

Right in WvWvW its no problem to meet speed hacker every single day, in 90% of cases speed hack use clases with stealth (use stealth + speed hack and bye bye).

Next big problém is PVE content, i see every day harvest bots with teleport hack and pernament harvest pick lol.They mined ore from the texture of the map so that no visible->impossible target this bot = no report, you see only effect of unlimited mining pick on ore and mining sound

Reminds me of a Thief player in a game I played. They were trying to take our home node, so I went to stop them. I beat them, killed them off when they were in the down state, then literally 5 – 6 seconds later, she appeared on the point again and I had to fight, but ended up losing as her team mates came along.

Get caught hacking in front of 100’s of viewers, guess what happens?

Agreed. I dare say it was a lot more common in WvW but given how you can get so much lag and how imba it is it’s hard to tell whether you’re looking at speed hacks or just the broken mobility of some classes.

Sorry but they guy is playing a mesmer to disguise his speed hacks, it is very obvious with the frequency of his teleports, lack of CS, mimic etc. It’s no different to people playing thief to disguise speed hacking.

I know it’s not going to be fun playing Mesmer for a bit once the inevitable happens and it is stressful but it isn’t a nerf Mesmer thread, don’t worry.
