I’ve had the exact opposite experience. Mesmers are atrocious at holding points for extended periods, and any class easily has better mobility, to move between points and just back-cap.

Unless your teams are running into a Mesmer zerg, which people shouldn’t be with izerkers flying left and right.

I main a mesmer and usually find that if I have more than 1 other on my team, we lose.

In fact, most teams I am on with 3 or more of the same class lose – except for warrior.

i probably need to play more solo arena games.
this is the results of my 5th solo arena game.

10 minutes game.
spirit ball map
red 188 – 501 blue
33 warrior 80 – 120 thief 45
31 warrior 65 – 85 ele 20
15 ranger 25 – 75 necro 37
21 mesmer 25 – 75 warrior (me) 33
13 guardian 0 – 65 ele 26

You had a guardian play an entire match without even getting 1 point so he’d get rewards? That pretty much tells me all I need to know about the opponents you faced. Unless he joined near the end, in which case you had a 5v4 for most of the match.

ah, its a solo arena match, we started 5 vs 5.

i think my other team mates were too skilled.

we had 2 ele on our team, i read in the forum, ppl said that ele are not good.

the topic starter claimed having more mesmers will help a team win.
in my 5th solo arena game, red team had one mesmer, blue team had zero mesmers.
but blue team won anyway.

just sharing my solo arena experience.

ya its exactly the opposite as to what zoid described, team with more mesmer usually lose.
Most mes are power based, condition mes are rare among their kind, and among the condition mesmer, many people play PU, which is totally useless in holding points.
Stop crying on forum just because you played bad and lose a game.
