Midair Skill Usage Inconcistency
There are three kinds of skills in this category:
- Instant – They can be used mid air. Think Arcane Blast.
- Channel – They can only be used while on the ground and jumping will stop the cast. Think Hundred Blades.
- Normal – They can be used while on the ground and jumping DURING the cast will NOT stop the cast. Think most auto attacks.

Most if not all skills can be used at the start of a jump animation just like jump dodging, but this is probably not practical for many players.
An example of this that I use most often is warrior greatsword 3. You can jump whirlwind from the windows to the middle point in Clocktower at Battle of Khylo to contest the point 2-3 seconds earlier. You hit jump then whirlwind about 1/60th of a second later. This works for me because I use instant cast, so I’m not sure how well this will work for people who use the targetting reticules.

To clarify, i mean pressing the button while in the jumping animation, not casting and then jumping while the bar is filling up.
@ The gates assassin: Not all instant casts can be used while in the air, e.g. lightning flash, signet of air, frost armor, arcane blast (just some examples from quick test on my ele).

Now you have me curious too. Shocking aura can be used in midair whereas frost aura cannot.
