MM is finally a decent bunker, yes, it is that, especially home point. But they’ve ALWAYS done that…
Turret engi was something entirely different. They did more DPS, were tankier (sorta), and got WAY out of hand with CC, especially if a team had 2+. MM aren’t quite as potent as Turret engi was.
Hardly the most of our worries though atm. There are warrior and mesmer builds right now that can turn anything into dust in like 2 seconds flat, and you’re worried about a bunker. :P

I stumbled upon a build like this last night and it was pretty effective. So long as my minions were alive I could stay in Death Shroud endlessly so long as I had a target.
But then someone dropped a bunch of AoEs on point and killed the minions and I had to exit Death Shroud to re-summon, which made me vulnerable. And the build couldn’t take two or three people bombing it simultaneously.
Seems fair to me. It works the way a bunker build is suppose to work. Slowly whittling people away 1v1 and barely staving off enemies in a 1v2, but buckling under a 1v3.

The minions are hardly tough to kill, they die faster than ever.
This clearly isn’t taking off as well as Turrets. What else can we complain about real fast?

Though effective tanks, once you lock a minion master down, they pose no problem. Their damage is low.

Sounds kinda nice! Get bored of the typical dps or condition build now.
There are two MM builds right now. One is tanky as balls but won’t kill someone in less than 5 minutes, and the other isn’t remotely as tanky but is much more capable of killing something. If you could somehow combine them together, and then make something even easier to play and more annoying, you’d have what Turret Engi used to be.
The difference is that to get the damage of turret engi requires a much squishier build, and to get the tankiness drops a lot of damage. And minions don’t even remotely come close to turrets for passive tankiness. Its not even close to the same build.
