Elementalist?? I was with you until you said you were elementalist. Sure, ele has some issues, but just use that new heal against an MM, its a guaranteed full heal. Same with spirit rangers. :P Just sayin :P

I don’t play Ele as main, just read some of their changes and laughed. I quickly removed that out of my post before someone turned this into an Ele vs Ranger/Necro thread and completely derailed this (like what you’re doing :P).
AoE’s prioritize Player characters over AI… it doesn’t effect you in the least..

This AoE limit is ridiculous, an insult to active and strategic game play.
Rangers and Necros just wait AI make all work due no have counter play.

Please remove the AoE target limit in TPvP.
OR
Fix the absolutely insane AI clutter that Rangers/Necros are capable of pulling, especially when 2 of them are in the same area.
The result is something like 10+ targets which is ABSURD, forget not even being able to see the target (especially if they’re Asuras), my abilties are barely hitting anything because I’m AoE-capped. I cannot believe something like this got through testing.
Just make minions and spirits to not count into aoe cap, whetever you put under them is gonna hit no matter how many targets on point…nice start as a counter to braindead ai specs…keep spamming autoattacks to death after your cheese ai pet\minion\spirit zoo is wiped out…when 4 ppl on point dat stupid rez spirit in not gonna die if not intentionally focused screwing up pressure on target…and this is dumb

I remember using pistol whip against a necro surrounded by a cloud of minions. This attack hits up to 3 targets. I had necro selected.
First half of attack, which is a stun, hit necro and stunned him.
Second half, which is a blade flurry, hit 3 minions, leaving him without any harm.
This can be easly repeated in Mists with these crowded training golems standing next to each other.
Remove AoE cap and make all bullets pierce minions/clones. Make traps trigger under minions/clones, but let them recharge on the ground after a few seconds instead of being removed.

uhh…. my AoEs always hit the minionmancer surrounded by his minions even if its a 3-target and he has 4 minions.. ..
Not sure why you’re mentioning golems as they have equal priority with golems..
Why not test instead of providing strange analogys…?
Roll a mesmer or ele and illusionary wave/pewpewfire a point with a minionmancer/guard/thief, check the players hp ? >> profit.
Body blocks are supposed to work against projectiles.. no. that is not an AOE
Minion masters already have enough issues with AoE anyways. Try playing one in top tier pvp and tell me how you do. Specifically in Khylo (top 100 at least), and also take note at how many MMs are in the top 100 in tpvp, and just how glorious it is to play the oh so powerful MM in a team fight, especially with an engi/warrior or necromancer on the opposing team. Just because you die to something in 1v1 versus a 1v1 centric build on your center aoe spam build doesn’t make it wrong. Your cheese stinks just as bad as ours.

There is no good explanation why I wouldn’t be able to damage or interrupt with ranged (sometimes even melee) skills a necromancer/ranger/mesmer standing in a cloud of AI. I’ve lost count in how many fights a random pet standing on my way absorbing damage/interrupts cost me a victory.
