Q:
Mixing pvp mats in MF for pvp items
A:
I must read something wrong because I thought mixing tournament tokens will give a random pvp.
This recipe list on wiki is wrong, I just mixed http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/PvP_Wrench this wrench and I received arcing mace…
So they changed recipes or it’s just only one wrong information from this list?
Read that page again. At the bottom it tells you that the recipe can create any of four possible weapons. You got one of them. Multiple attempts may be required to get the item you want. Some recipes are shared and create multiple options. In addition, getting a “critical success” on a recipe will give the higher tier option.
All weapons and armor use the same basic recipe.
- Item Token (1). The token for the item you want. For example, if you want an axe you’ll want to use an Axe Token. These can be salvaged or purchased.
- Rank Token (1). This is a token corresponding to the rank. For example, rabbit token, deer token, free tournament token, etc. These come from salvaging gear of the corresponding rank.
- Arcane Orb, Arcane Crystal, or Arcane Sliver (1). These come from salvaging gear that use the aforementioned item to be created.
- Arcane Powder (5). These come from salvaging any gear.
The mats used will give a specific outcome (of up to 4 rewards). I’d recommend looking at the wiki and working with the recipes listed there to get the ones that you want.
Rank tokens and tourney tokens give different items. Check the wiki for an incomplete list of stuff you can make.
