Some stat combinations are too powerful for certain classes/builds. That’s why they’re not in-game.
And we used to be able to equip rings in early beta——>instagibs all over the place, even more than now.

I actually wish the jewels we have were nerfed a bit. That could solve the burst/bunker problem.
I would also like to be able to spread out my stats in sPvP like you can in pve/WvW. The stat combinations are very limiting in sPvP and I think could be a hindrance for people coming from pve or wvw into spvp to get used to. All your stats coming from 1 item and the jewel doesn’t make a balanced character.

lot’s of stat combinations are not available in pve/wvw also, but for example my pve/wvw warrior is a combination of valkyrie, knight, zerker, cleric. Warriors can sacrifice crit chance because they can give themselves 20% crit almost constantly yet warriors can’t tune their stats for this in pvp
pvp forces you to min max, thats why it’s all burst/bunker

Exactly, i dont want to be 100% P/T/V or 100% P/prec/crit damage i would want to split then even to make a more balanced build. The stats combination you mentioned above most of them are not available in PvE neither.
yeah, as much as I’d like a vitality/toughness/healing amulet as a bunker, it’s something that’s a balance issue. As much as I would want to also have different accessories to spread the stats a little more, it would also bring into play some balance issues.
It would also take out variety. From a bunker standpoint, some players run soldiers amulet, clerics amulet, or shaman’s amulet. If they made one that was healing/vitality/toughness, then every bunker would be using that.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Anet “released” some new stat combinations for PvP, though. There’s nothing that says you have to include a vit/tough/healing combination. A lot of people complain that “balanced” builds aren’t viable, and I would agree to a point (although I’ve seen some very impressive builds that seemed to sit nicely between burst and bunker). Releasing something like Power/precision/toughness might encourage a tanky-dps warrior or power necro. It probably wouldn’t make already-powerful builds better because no one wants a tough thief with 10k hp.
“Probably” wouldn’t cause balance issues—but would need testing. There are certainly some stat combinations to avoid.

Bunker/burst are already strong without those combinations. However, why not simply nerf those 2 (like some people are expecting for Feb’s update) rather than not add said amulets? Spliting them into 6 minor pieces would allow players to run more balanced builds. Would it be too powerful? Maybe, but since everybody would stand in the same ground, we can’t really know for sure.
There wont be those stats combinations guys. The idea is to bring back all the accesories so you can lets say split ur stats instead of being max at 1 and min at 1 like it is now, it would allow for more builds and more balance as well since there wouldnt be only glass cannon or bunker builds, like it is in WvWvW at moment, its way more interesting, you can make a balanced build, which isnt glass cannon, but neither a bunker, so you can actually survive glass cannon builds a little more (without being unkillable) and also do some damage, actually, these builds, destroy glass cannon builds.
you can already make more balanced builds with the jewels available (since you can get 465 to a stat thru traits and runes, or close to +600 if you swap out the amulet jewel), allowing you to get the ~800 or so from the main stat in the amulet. you can tweak this around to get balanced mediocre stats everywhere.
that said, i do wish there was more variety. but there are some builds that are too powerful with certain stat combos sadly. the bad part is tho, whereas a cond/vit/toughness might be too powerful for a necro, id think it would be balanced a sweet option for say a ranger.
also, i find it annoying that in most cases, you have to sacrifice toughness for vit, or vice versa, making it hard to be ‘balanced’ on the defensive side.
what id like to see is more of the +284 sort of amulets, but utilizing things like toughness and precision and cond damage. wouldnt be that unbalanced IMO, but would add a lot more hybrid/balanced builds IMO
why do we have to read this kind of thread every time some pvers come in mists and find how it is different from pve suggesting inbalanced stuffs that are in pve?

Which is why no one has ever suggested it. When people say they’re looking for more options for stat breakdowns in PvP, usually it’s some of the balanced combinations that are missing (i.e. 2 offensive stats/1 defensive stat). Or, it’s for more customization so they can spread their stats out more, like you can in PvE.
The stats combination in sPvP and Pve are exactly the same, this only shows how any of you have never gone to the PvE world, i have played sPvP and Pve/WvWvW myself and i can tell you this.
The suggestion is only about to get more stats distribution than the currently extreme stats, you can only be top damage or top survival pretty much, in WvWvW you can go with way more variety like a little bit of damage but also some survival, making it more entertaining rather than glass cannon vs bunker specs.

Im sick of being forced to go full on something, if i want healing i need to go full healing 0 vit, if i want vit i need to go full vit and 0 healing, what if i want a little of vit and a little of healing?
PS: im not asking for gear with vit/healing on it, im asking to bring back the multiple accesories we had in the first beta where you could actually have more distributed builds not like now.

I would agree with this, the lack of a power/precision/toughness amulet has really hurt necro and warrior.
I know people are scared of adding new stat combinations because, you know, Anet would probably introduce a tough/vit/healing amulet. /sarcasm off
Now that we have JS attention around this left away part of the forums i would love to know what does he think!
Why did they make such a change from first beta, saying it would make stuff more simple, but instead made so you have less choices and builds are always full at something or nothing.
