I might be missing something, but I would really like the UI to provide more information about player rank, division, MMR, .. before and while playing.
Why can’t I see the divsion tag of players while in the match?
Why can’t I see who is in a party?
Why can’t I see the rank (1-80)?
Why can’t I see the MMR value?
Division tag is shown after the match (only in ranked play), but at that time I already know which case we had.
(A) I’m a member of the team that is destroying the other
(B) It’s the other way round
Close matches are really rare.
Why? Because that would lead to griefing.
In the olden days rank was shown and it led to people blaming the low-rank “noob” for their own mistakes.
What I would like to see though, is my own MMR.
“PvP Rank” doesn’t really mean much, even people I know that just do their dailies are already rank 80. What matters is the MMR, but it probably is so broken that they are never going to make it visible.
