Most fun profession
Mesmer – it’s OP and you can one-shot everything from stealth while portalling your team across the map once per minute.
for me the most fun profession is powerranger, it is pretty easy on long range, but in melee range i have to fight hard to survive, or to defeat the enemy…, i love it
and soon reaper, becouse i like the shroud mechanic and greatswords
I prefer engineer. The class itself is definitely lower tier right now but definitely fun.
Which profession do you consider the most fun gameplay wise in pvp?
Why do you consider this so?I am curious to the various or similar views of people.
Mesmer. Because I can mind kitten people. When I play all other professions I play toon vs toon. When I play mesmer I play against the person sitting behind the monitor on the otehr side and ignore the toon quite a lot.
When going 1 v 1 on my mesmer its like some invisible mental link gets established between me and my opponent. Its weird. I can’t really describe it, but there it is.
2nd most fun is my engi, cause I like playing him full glass condi. So I eitehr drop people extremely quick or get dropped, either way its very dynamic and fast paced. The execution of my opening rotation is what makes or breaks the fights usually.
i love melee codi ranger. i love flying around like a bad kitten lol.guard was my fav tell i made my ranger
engineer and warrior. they feel very physical and thumpy.
currently a Boyfriend main :P
Waiting To ReRoll Mystic & Forget About Tyria
ENGIE of course and +1 to those who said it.
I don’t understand why it’s still the funnest class to play despite being nerfed to the ground, at least relative to eles.
I will confess my engie suffers from major burn envy when I play fire dd ele and burn guard
EU Scrub
For me it’s always been Mesmer.
Special mention to engi and condi necro too.
Mellowpuff [Champion Hunter]
I realy like my condi ele that uses bleeding not burn. Totaly unique and unexpected. A lot of fun in WvW roaming.
Celestial staff ele. I like supporting and healing the team more than dps or tanking. And also engineer, for the same reasons.
Mesmer – it’s OP and you can one-shot everything from stealth while portalling your team across the map once per minute.
show how it’s op. mesmer can’t one-shot anything and can’t portal his team across the map once per minute. learn to get your facts right !!!
I am finding cele-necro to be the class I like the most atm. Used to be engineer – could be that again, just haven’t really found a build that suits me.
Since the patch, I’m having more fun with my Guardian main than ever. Before that though… the Guardian has been amongst the most frustrating class outside of bunkers/meta tpvp comps because almost anyone and everyone could kite and ultimately, outsustain him. Considering Guard was my main, that’s my bias opinion.
Ele starts to feel dull after using the same rotations over and over. Staff ele is more fun but gets repetitive all the same.
That said, they’re regarded as a top tier class with very few weaknesses in regards to outplaying him.
Engineers are definitely one of the more fun classes to play given their unique playstyle. You just have a lot of utilities at your disposal and your rotations is fluid. You can technically mix and match skill use per your preference.
Mesmers are the lower risk, higher reward class. Their stealth-burst-distort-burst-stun-burst cheese builds makes them fun to use but I personally don’t like the way they’re played. If you had issues maintaining a Mesmer prepatch, you may find they’re much, much more easily managed with all their previous weaknesses (thief counters) removed. Often regarded as OP next to Eles.
Warriors can be fun if you like face-tanking everything, then turning into a Rampaging brute and killing people with a few hits. I personally like their zealot abilities; running in a fight, dealing massive burst damages then rolling out.
I think the classes who gotten the biggest gripe, as far as playability, were the Thieves. People couldn’t play the same way (particularly Acrobat and S/D) as they did prepatch. In fact, many Thieves switched classes because of that reason alone. They’re also annoyed by the fact Mesmers got more options regarding how they managed survivability items such as limiting Stealth and picking more Mantras, or Clone heals or cc effects. Compared to Thieves who only really have Stealth, of which, they can’t limit to increase another survivability trait.
Bottom line, those who were S/D Thieves before are ever more frustrated now.

Necromancer. No set rotations, you go with the flow. Lots of different builds you can switch to if you get bored of one: cele signets, power wells, spectral bunker, power or condi minions…
Mesmer – because it’s the only unique/original class in the game compared to all the generic boring fantasy stereotypes.
Edit: It also has the most beautiful visual effects and skill themes.

mesmer can’t portal his team across the map once per minute. learn to get your facts right !!!
Portal skill has 72 second cd. Cd starts when portal is opened, so it only has 62 second downtime or 60 second when traited. Learn to get your facts right.
Any D/D ele build.
….. And Elementalist.
