Just curious as to what builds you all personally hate.
For me it’s those AI builds.
Y’know, MM necro & turret engineer. Little effort, low risk, huge reward.
Yes this thread was made with a bit of vinegar.
Edit: It’s interesting to see the varied amount of builds that the community seems to hate (loljk everyone hates rangers and turrets), but lets try to keep things civil guys, let’s not bash out at another player for his or her choice, I’d rather not give the mods/admins a reason to lock this thread.

I agree with u on that. Gotta throw mesmers in there too with their phantasm AI. The main problem I have with AI builds is they can still deal damage without los while certain classes can’t. Mesmer and ranger AI can even deal damage while stealthed and not be revealed, so fighting these guys doesn’t feel like a brawl but a game of cat and mouse as they constantly run around rubble and pillars(even in circles sometimes) to los me letting AI do all the work.

Both are low effort builds with high rewards. Obviously ranger is slightly harder to play and is more vulnerable, but I still hate it nonetheless.
Turret engi and pew pew rangers by far.
Pew pew rangers aren’t a huge problem, just annoying. Turret engis are only a problem in solo-queue where people don’t know how to deal with them. They’re still super annoying though.
I have to say though that I find it ridiculous how easily a turret engi can bunk down a point to the point that you have to change your point rotations to avoid the turret engi. Unless you have a thief, pew pew ranger or power necromancer on your team you’re basically forced to avoid the turret engi or send at least 2 men towards the engi to deal with him (which is usually a waste of time and will lose you points). It’s absolutely ridiculous and I really think this engi build needs a nerf.

In an unorganized environment (basically 99% of games) is really kitten.

Turret engi, PU Mesmers, and MM necros. I love celestial meta because it really requires me to watch where the fights are at on my mini map, to think constantly about rotations and also makes me alert when I’m facing a celestial class instead of cleric healing class that really bores me.

That sounds nice but the point is 90% of pew pew rangers sit on ledges the whole match. So yes, slightly harder.
Handsdown lockdown mesmer is one of the most annoying builds. They are defeated when they lock you down, they just don’t know it yet.
But yeah, turret engi is one of the most annoying builds. The only class i dont have on my account is the necro. And it seems the necro is the only profession that steamrolls turret engi. Other than that they are way too tanky and those turrets deal way too much damage. Its not even the AI that’s so annoying really. Its the fact that it takes forever to takedown good built turret engi. They just put their silly tanky amulets and runes and they basically are as tanky as a shoutbow, with the exception that the turrets deal more damage than both builds combined. Regardless of what runes the engi has picked. Which is lame. Oh well.
I’d say power ranger is equally annoying but at least they go down fast.
Heartseeker spamming thieves are annoying as kitten too. They can’t play, at all. Yet they always seem to attack you when you are in cooldown. And they spam a lot.

The 4k part may be an exaggeration, but you’ll hit 3k+ on anything zerker. The range is 2000-2500, thats confirmed. You gain additional range when you’re on a higher ground. Naturally its increased to at least 1800 from projectile arc alone on flat surface.

PU mesmer. A very selfish build, and quite annoying to deal with.
P/D condi thief. In my humblest opinion, also very selfish. It’s viable if there’s no other option (4 thieves from soloq, then yeah – gonna need variety) but any other situation, please no.
Fearmancer. That….fear….wall….GAH.
LB rangers get a 50/50 hate-or-don’t-care. There’s too many of them. It’s gotten to the point where if a ranger doesn’t run LB, I have to pause and think about what to counter it with. At least they’re very glassy.
WvW related it’s Diamond Skin Ele. Can’t even dent him on a Condi build. If anything in this game needs a balance pass on, it’s this trait. Should be damage reduction not immunity.
Turret engineer hands down. Honestly it isn’t the build itself so much as the people who play it.
Yesterday I had a solo queue match up vs a team with a turret engineer… of course we want the point that he’s bunkering on, so two of us ran over after clearing out a different part of the map. We kill the guy, and he starts smack talking us with stuff like “kittening noobs can’t even 1v1 me” for the rest of the match. Nobody responded bc frankly who gives a kitten what an AI hero thinks, but you just know that guy thinks he’s ESL unkillable with his zero skill build.
As for other classes, I don’t really mind any of them honestly, even crazy zerk builds who burst away 80% of my house with their openers. I never thought D/D Cele Elementalist was easy to play bc you’ve got to be stacking might at every opportunity or you’re toast. The self heals are real though haha. (Could be a PEBCAK thing there.)

so NOOB, its just trolling… i hope they dont win ever again how can u get a dicent rank if u are playing againts them, there is no skill, no brain….

Every time someone uses Moa on me in 1v1, I think they must be pretty desperate. There’s nothing better than pecking someone to death.
Not really. It’s more like no respect for the turret engi. Nobody thinks it’s a skilled player, even if you are that one guy who plays the spec and actually is good at the game (there must be one somewhere right?). So when the turret engi smack talks like they’re actually decent people get a chuckle out of it.

What class? Power kills the rocket, conditions are supposed to kill the engineer. Engineer has a single condi removal tied to their heal and it only removes 2.

The only problem is: when the engi fall to 33% hp or less (and with 26k of hp 33% is like 12k…) he can reduce condition duration by 50%. If the engi add to that the rune that reduce condition duration by 25%… You obtain a engi that kill you with CC if you’re a direct damage and become unkillable by condition damage classes because they deal only 25% of they’re damage…
That’s a balanced class?

Engineers (“only” because they have large amount of CC, condi resistance, boon spamming and AI damage by turets. And if they’re condition damage they can spam conditions from everywhere, killin you in 10 sec with conditions)
Thied S/D with all that blind and evasive skills
Mesmers (I know a mesmer that candeal me 15k of damage in 6 seconds. and I’ve 3k armor…)
And Mesmers with hide. so much hide. and a large amount of illusions and illusion-swap skills XD

What class are you playing? If your team is smart you can gank him while he’s off point saving tears, I don’t know why I see less condi builds around or maybe I keep seeing the same people.
Anything that can either deal lots of damage while also taking little damage, or spam conditions mindlessly while running around.

Turret engineers don’t run Automated Response, they get way too many boons and high protection uptime from the turret boon trait. If they don’t have that, chances are any power player on your team could take him out at least fairly easily. (Much easier than otherwise). “What ifs” don’t really apply when they’re not very normal.

Well all the popular ones have been said but I’ll add the cele burning signets ele to the list.
I can die to the burning just from hitting them without them actually landing any of their signets or flame skills on my thief. And they are tanky from the defense stats of earth line + cele amulet with no boons to steal even.

That’s 1 reason why necro can still be wanted ^^ as well as non multi hit dps classes.
Faced Vaanss yesterday, full premade with full cheese: 2 shoutbows, 1 turret engi, 1 cleric decap/bunker engi and d/d ele.. Was very disappointed in that team..
