My New PvP Arena Horror Story

Why Anet… you had it just right, and you messed it up. Doing dailies in the PvP solo arena made me actually feel like doing some PvP. Get in the heart of the mists, run over to the tournament browser, click join solo, wait a minute or two, and then be in and going. It didn’t really matter if I won or lost, so long as I had a chance if I won to get that chest. That chest was the only thing actually worth playing for in PvP. A short while later and 3 games in and I was done with my PvP daily, and ready to go do other things. Now… now it’s a kittening nightmare. Get in, que up, can’t click on the PvP icon trophy at the top to know if I’m still even qued up or not anymore, have to run over to the stand itself to see if it’s even putting a team together for me, which I like checking because 7 minutes in and you kinda wonder what the kitten is going on over there. Decide after 8 minutes of being qued to join the regular browser games, have to hop in and out of games to find one I can even kittening join in right away on, find a game and start playing when BLAM the que ends and it wants me to join a game. Go into the game and find myself facing a bunch of people wearing the same guild tag who roflstomp us 500 to 100 with myself as top player on my team that was down a man so we’re 4 strangers vs 5 organized team players. Que up again in the solo arena tourny browser because I’m willing to give it another shot. 8 minutes of waiting later and I can’t stand it anymore, I decide today that it’s not worth getting my daily and that random piece of forge crap and my glory booster that will sit on top the pile of my 200 other glory boosters. Run, talk to tournament stand to click disband because I can’t for some uknown reason to mankind do it now from my PvP icon at the top. Was fairly confident I clicked all the right buttons to get of being qued for a game, and decide to go enjoy the ever rewarding PvE areas of the game. 5 minutes later (making my wait time a total of 13 minutes where it used to only take 1 to 2) I’m right in the middle of a boss battle and wtf happens? My screen is displaying the Go Now or Wait options I was pretty sure I wasn’t going to see because I LEFT PVP AREA AND I CLICKED DISBAND ON THE SOLO ARENA AND I DON’T WANT TO PVP ANYMORE ESSPECIALLY WITH THIS LOOT FILLED BOSS INFRONT OF ME… but no, there’s nothing I can do and it sucks me into the game. Well, somehow we win the game and when we get back to the mists I discover they cut the costs of winning by 50 glory and rank. That decreased win reward is a slap in the face after all that, a pure and simple unwarranted slap to the face. THERE IS NO REWARD FOR DOING PVP Anet. 0, let me clarify, ZERO! reward for your PvP area… so why cut the rank or glory from winning a tournament game? It’s all ready hard enough getting rank, why make it any harder? Why would I ever grind out a million hours to get rank when it’s useless to me? I can’t sell rank on the TP, I can’t use rank to get items to sell on the TP, I can’t do anything with it. Same is true with glory. How can one farm the tournament solo arena when there is nothing to farm except rank which NEEDS A WAY TO FARM because of how long it takes to get. The only thing I could possibly be trying to farm would be unidentified dyes, which is a joke and a troll on your behalf because your rep before launch said dyes would be account bound, and now they’re not only character bound, but also PvP/PvE bound too? Wtf, why!!!!!? Your rep on the other post I saw concerning this topic said to give this new PvP system a while to settle down, well guess what… NOOOOOOOOOOO. I’m not putting my self through the stress of what happened today again, especially when all the other posts on this topic say the same thing about massive amount of wait time to get into solo games.
