Ok so i played a few games this morning and ive run into my fair share of pvp players who act like the many in this forum.

So many bad rotations and zerging and the non stop trash talking whether its to team mates or the opponent which is fine but wow. For instance the dead players making fun of the new players with dolyak or deer finishers. Best yet the guys on our team running into 2 vs 2 vs a turret engy and guardian and losing and calling them cheese mode when we already had 2 cap points.

The best part is my own team and the turret engy had something to say to me when i beat the turret engy 1 vs 1 with moa and i use staff. I literally am writing this because i truly believe that 80% of people that go into pvp and go on this forum to write things and think they are good at pvp and there actually horrible.

Seriously i solo que the heavy majority of my matches i can immediately tell if the people on my team know what there doing and yet its not these peoples faults they lost. You have people coming on here talking about they cant win or they cant beat a class and i truly dont know why they cant other then maybe there not any good.

I watched so many people run into a 2 vs 2 mid and a 2 vs 3 home when were getting triple capped and all the people who died and came back dont bother to run far. Or they cant win the 2 vs 2 at that point and dont disengage and help at home. I see all the people with these titles and people talking about there ranks as if that makes them decent players and its literally bothered me the past 2 days listening to them rag on team mates or the other team.

I am clearly venting and tired of people coming on the forum to complain about certain builds or ammys and then having people in the game talk about it as if its fact. The people non stop complaining because they dont like ai and blah blah blah is becoming kitten.

I would name a player and ask if it was them, but I think we aren’t supposed to do that.

Suffice to say, you are correct, best you can do is block their chat. In fact, you could consider blocking map/say chat altogether if you just can’t take it anymore.

But what is the alternative, banning people for being salty? I’d not be in favor of that.

Game is full of people who have certain mice on the mind.

Block them, move on, keep contact with the people that are not worthless.

Create a tab and only enable party and whispers.

90% of the chat in pug matches is useless and mostly people who have no clue trying to tell others what to do.

I keep telling this to people over and over. It would be incredibly easy to balance engis. Just remove the water field from healing turret. That’s all that needs to be done.

I dont think theres anything wrong with turret engys. I have a pic but i forgot how to post pics on here but my group literally ran into mid over and over again to die and when they went far they got the decap and cap and me and 1 ranger would stay between home and mid and wouldnt die since he sat on the edge and i used portals.

We had a engy tell us not to sit, we said we didnt and that i use portals. He responds what does that mean. Then he and 2 others started blaming everyone for the loss and the name calling began. I would love to post the pic because i have a another with all of there titles being legendary champions.

Yes i literally leave portals on the cap points to make sure the opposing team doesnt cap it and if i can decap it. I told everyone to go to mid so i dropped a portal at mid and i ran to lord and got to the steps and hit the portal button and 2 ran back to portect our lord and 1 went to far to decap and 1 warrior ran to lord after he stayed at mid to cap. All of them had some sourd of title for pvp the engy and ranger doing the most talking had a legendary champion title and champion ranger title.

I really wish i knew had to post pics, i have 1 of this d/d ele talking trash about mesmers on his team because they lost. Im playing mesmer atm and i beat him 1 vs 1 and he started whispering a whole bunch of stuff and i didnt say anything but who won.

He then changed accounts and the reason i know is the next game he was on a different account and whispered me in the zerg fight at mid when i died he said your still a kittenty mesmer. I took a few pics and im posting it on my guild page but i saw this dude the 4 straight matches and he lost every match. He was on 2 different accounts whispering me telling me i got lucky, mesmers suck, i play a cheese build which is fine but when he ragged on his team mates i reminded him he was yet to beat me all day in a match and 1 vs 1 and after the last match he shutted up but there is to many people on this forum and on the game who think there better then they really are.

Im tired of people on this forum talking nerfs and saying things are all out of wack, i run a staff condi mesmer with portal and rolling these guys who are talking mad- ish to people. I beat his d/d ele, his medi guardian and i rolled a turret engy with moa in 7 sec.

Im truly tired of the community’s ego. If you think your good dont talk trash to newer players cause you didnt win cause theres always someone better or the fact people are playing for fun.

Im sick of people calling for nerfs when i have friends who can beat a turret engy on there thief and hes planted there. Just because i cant doesnt mean the class should be nerfed.

Lastly anet i marked that person up for abuse and no i didnt block him and i got about 5 screen prints of his negativity towards me and his mesmer team mates.

on the topic of overconfidence in the community, i mean what can be said? these people have no idea how bad they are and many refuse to change tactics. i tried to teach a new player how to play once, but all he wanted to do is run zerker GS warrior and rage about engineers. refused to listen to my advice, even though i have been playing since beta and him only 2 weeks. noobs with big heads are rampant in this community, it’s sad- with some humility and patience they could be good players.

The guy from today has been playing this game a long time and has been on the leader board with the 2 accounts i saw him on today. I see him making comments on the forum aswell.

He literally whispered me after every match. Mind you i went 4-0 against him 4 straight games, i solo qued every match and i beat him everytime he engaged in a 1 vs 1. It wasnt till the last match when the team i was on won 504-266 and i killed him 15 sec before the match was over that he stopped. Seriously the last thing i said to him was who won.

This guy is a senior member of the pvp community and i personally believe if you think your better then everyone you should carry a little better. I run portal which means i should suffer in 1 vs1 because i use 1 skill for team fights. Yet he has nothing nice to say to his team or me for using a mesmer. Yet he cant win the 1 vs 1 or the team fights and blames everyone else.

Reason i say it again is because of your point, hes feeding a negative attitude and an odd way of looking at builds because he cant win. The guy run zerker warrior either needs to get better/ ajust play style/ or listen to another persons opinion. Which brings me back to the GW2 community simply needing to be better.

Condi isnt an “autowin” against a turreteer. The main problem with pure condi vs turreteer is the getting rid of turrets part which is faster with pure power or cele spec. How fast can you condi burst down a sentinels amulet turreteer that gets buffed by turrets while you take dmg and cc from them and from the turreteers rifle and turrets?

I agree with turret whiners on one thing a team of 5 turrets engis is pretty kittened to play against in conquest game mode since you cant run around them. 2 is ok, 1 is in most cases good for your team because of the weaknesses of the build.

The main problem is in random teams ppl dont play together, cant play themselves, dont use brain cells for common sense like taking the dps turrets down on point before going to fight there hence they die ofc.

There are lots of kittenheads in these kinds of games. Most players you see in GW2 spvp playing random teams or even premades are pretty crappy anyway. The bad part is when you’re not so good a player and your a kitten and human kittenpile at the same time as well while lacking the basic manners of social interaction, you get pretty vile kitten in your hands.

i love this… did you know as a condi necro you will be within range of all the turrets while trying to kill the engie through – duration runes and purity and healing turret and regeneration…. and large amounts of cc to slow you down even more. the issue isn’t can i beat it? it’s how kitten long will it take to beat it!

in a game all about taking and holding a point for as long as possible that is all that matters… and thats is why people are sick of turrets and adopt the “just fight on the other points” attitude that goes out the window when there is 2 of them =\

if your build takes too long to 1v1 them you need to 2v1 them, or win the other points (you can wipe the other 4 team members at mid then zerg the turret engineer if you really want). however, they are running the sentinel amulet and go 6 into both the vitality and toughness trait lines. they have tanky stats, it’s going to take time, it unavoidable unless you delete all amulets apart from assassins and zerker. regardless, I wasn’t talking exclusively about turret engineers rather the class in general. engineers are very weak to condi, and unless you are very bad (or they are very good) condi builds should beat them.
