What we need is simple actually – as simple as ur skills that does damage olny.

Doesnt matter what weapons set we will put up – there always should be 2 blocks on two hand weapons, and 1 per one hand weps, some of them can carry evade (axe 2 seems to be good candidate) instead of block. All of them should have damage on pair with mace block. Thats first step to improve sustain.

Step 2 – doesnt matter what class u pick, all of them have something else than just damage of some laughable vul stack. We need to have spread some short vigor, regeneration, switness, stability on them. As for stability i would think about skills like shield stance and..burst skills.

Step 3 – Looking at the other classes we sees to be underpowered, Thats false. Warrior is actually balanced, other classes are simply op comparing them to warrior. Key is: do u will nerf 7 classes into ground to warrior level, or u will improve warrior to match rest? Selfrooting, obvious, slow cast skills – we need to get rid of them all. Theres no trick, not a single boom more when u can say “wow, i dindt seen that killshot coming” not to mention that we actually need to set them up as without any help they are hard to land

Step 4 – Mobility. Something we lack. We olny have 1 real gap closer/opener – savage leap. The olny one that inst affected by cripple/chill.
Bullrush would be decent but unlike savage bull is affected.
Whirdwind inst barery a gap closer, its just an evade move with little range that is also affected by cripple/chill.
Rush is definitely too slow, watching myself doing that i feel im on marathon for oldmans. Affected by cripple/chill, takes years to “rush” through 1200meters, and also has fairy high cd (20 untrained). Personally i vote for rush to be the same as guardian leap of faith without blind, and cd lowered to 15sec and lets have it done.

Step 5 – Adrenaline mechanic. Best example is cleansing ire. Its seems to be good..problem is..we have to rely on burst skills to land in order to remove conditions, its even funnier with blind that got bugged. I would like to see a F2, F3, F4 to be build into our mechanic rathen than picking a special trait to limit urself. Example how its could work:

F2 – Cleansing ire – spend our adrenaline on curing conditions, and gain health (1 condition per bar, heal for 1k per bar)
F3 – Defensive stance – spend our adrenaline on highter damage reduction (10% per bar) lasts for 5 sec. Damage is decreased by 5% per par
F4 – Agresive stance – spend our adrenaline on highter damage output (5% per bar). Hits taken are increased by 5% per bar spend

Step 6 – Healing abilities. If all the steps above will be done, all we need is little tweaking like some cd reduction, buffing signet to around 300hp/sec.

Hope i dindt wasted my time on writting that. Thats just my opinion and a review from my point of view on warrior based on my own experience in tpvp/wvw/pve. Over 2k hours played and keep counting.

Obviously more utility effects on weapon skills would be great. There’s a reason why most of the warrior’s weapon skills are boring and do damage and nothing else.

It’s because warriors have higher base stats than other classes. Yup. That’s it. Therefore, because of that sole reason, warriors must pay for that by receiving bland and boring weapon skills.

What about Make warrior as Anet describes, giving him Strenth, Speed and Resist?
What about make the game play more strategic, and let the player choise how spend his adrenaline?
What about make warrior not dependant of some weapon for use his adrenaline?
What about give some sustain without change some most popular building and stiles?

Following the concept or pure fisical warrior, adrenaline will fuel and boost his fisical, psicilogical and tecnical capabilities.

No need change bar or several things.
Instead of burn all adrenaline at same time with one single and predictable weapon skill, Warrior could channeling adrenaline focusing boost strenght/damage, boost speeed/agility, or boost resist/defence.
Adrenaline would be reised normaly like are now, but when the player select one of focus(burst) skill, the adrenaline stops of raise and starts decrease 1 stack per second, when adrenaline fall to 0 the skill cancels. Only one toogle would be selected(activated), if another skill are are activated, the firist one will be deactivated.

Could be 3, 4 or 5 burst or focusing to choice:
1º = Strenght or Damage: When activated, grants 25% aditional direct dmg and 25% adictional condition dmg.
2º = Speed or Agility: When activated, grants 25% aditional run speed(stack with swiftness) and 25% adictional speed of actions and skills(stack with quickness).
3º = Resist of Defence: When activated, grants 25% adictional toughness(stack with protection) and reduces in 25% incoming conditions duration.

4º = Burst all adrenaline: this skill will burn all remaining adrenaline, cancel the current focus, and grant following effect:
*Focus Strength: Next hit knockdown(Nº of atacks = Nº of remaining bars)
*Focus Speed: Evades next atack(Nº of evades = Nº of remaining bars)
*Focus Defence: Ignores next croud control(Nº of CC = Nº of remaining bars)

Obs¹: 10s CD after skill deactivated(like atunements).
Obs²: Grandmaster trait Burst Mastery allow active 3 focus at same time.
Obs³: Healing surge grant the following efect acording each active focus:
*Strenght = AoE damage.
*Speed = Fill endurance.
*Defense = Breack Stun.

This are a sketch of how strategic warrior can be with few changes in use of adrenaline

Pretty much that, for how long and how many times they “tried” to balance warrior with minor buffs/tweaks that got us nowhere? I’m kinda discouraged of playing warrior :/

I’m convinced that Warrior IS balanced currently.

It’s just that all the other classes are horribly OP and there’s some powercreep going on between them making it worse with each patch.

And in this case, it’s not a matter of buffing warrior. They need to nerf everything else because it’s part of what makes PvP such a mess in this game.

After coming back to the game (once again) and after reading/playing my Warrior, I’m convinced the class is for ever doomed to be horrific and bad.

The Warrior class in gw2, is going to be forever stuck in this weird power struggle, they are either going to be to strong, or just to weak. Because the way the class is designed, and for the longest time, they have to my memory been incredibly weak in PvP.

I’ve watched alot of the state of the game videos, and other videos that contain valid points made by some of the best PvP players, and they all say what’s wrong with the class and here we are, still like next to no improvements later.

Get’s really depressing knowing your main class is utter crap, and that the dev’s themselves don’t even know how to fix the class, pretty sad and disappointing to be honest.

That’s honestly why I didn’t pick a warrior as my first class I read the wiki and ANET’s description of it I thought “WOW this class sounds boring!”
