Second day i’m playing solo queue for an extended amount of time
and the experience is abyssmal as i expected.
After playing a couple of matches previous month i was at rank ~400
by winning about 80% of my matches. Oh well yesterday it was only 60% but
w/e i thought to myself, was just bad luck – nope
I won 2 matches today out of probably 12 bringing my rank down to ~1k
Now I get that if i’m a detriment to the team I should be placed accordingly
but why on earth am i still matched with the same people as before my rank got so low?
What kind of kittened up matching system is this?

Also the cond spam is still rampant, the team with more mesmers/necros/engis
wins with a certainty of almost 100%. This game is among the worst pvp
experiences I ever had.
Well no, I just tried to come up with worse but I can’t so
basically it’s the worst pvp game I ever played.

If I learned anything out of the couple of hours, it’s that I will never touch
the pvp mode again, thanks for saving me so much time Anet

Yes, solo Q isn’t good yet.
No, this isn’t the worst pvp game, in fact this is one of the best pvp games.
And no, you’re just bad.

Nothing. But the population and number of people queuing at the same time as you limits the range of players available that you could possibly be matched up with. It is inevitable that you will be matched with people better than you. Learn from it.

what can i learn from it? to just not play and tell everyone i know that it is not worth their time? also it’s primetime here in the eu. are you telling me not even between 4pm and 9pm therer are enough players available?

depends, bannerregen for midbunker or close if nobody else is available
sometimes hammer/mace-shield for lockdown support
for the last couple of matches i tried hambow but the playstyle is not for me
so i guess i’ll be switching back to one of the former.
