Hi, I have lot of gems from winning AG and idk what to do with them so I am thinking of giving back to the community (LUL). Since enough people told they they want to play in it on forums and in-game. The tournament will happen on: August 27th

A battlefly website is being set up by my friend Caspian so I will link it here for people to sign up soon.

There will be restrictions on certain classes and traitline. This is because due to patches some vanilla specs will be a guarantee win if you roll them. Ex: Warrior with their defense traits. So some restrictions will be place on certain class and some specs will be ban. Also, to clarify, Revenant is NOT allow. Amulet and Runes introduce after HoT is allow. Below is the outline of what are ban. This is not final and more will be add later so feel free to give your suggestion on what should be ban and what not.

Ban list for classes:

Necro: No Minion Mancer build, No Lich Elite
Thief: Shadow Arts Trait is ban
Ranger: If use LB then you not allow to take QuickDraw and Taunt Trait
Engi: Elite Elixir is ban
Condi engi is ban unless you take Battle Ram, Bomb Kit and Rocket Shoes 4Head
Guardian: Bunker and Burn Guard are ban
Ele: LUL
Mesmer: Mantra and Condi Mes is ban
Warrior: Rampage is ban
If pick addrenal health then Heal signet is ban and viceversa
If use shield off hand then passive endure pain is ban
Cannot pick both Addrenal health and Passive endure pain at the same time.
More rules for warrior will be add since the class atm is very overtune.

As the tourney go on if the moderators perceive some thing as AIDS it will be ban on the spot.

Prizes:
1st: 800 gems (I will buy anything from gem store for you with my gems as long as it under 800) & 200g
2nd: 100g

There will be restrictions for certain classes and aids build. For warrior prolly will be something like “If you pick Adrenal Health then you cannot use Heal signet and endure pain Passive” or “if you pick Passive endure pain then you cannot use Adrenal health and shield” etc just giving examples. Gonna see if people gonna actually sign up and play or not first.

I volunteer myself as fodder for the brackets just cause I want to see this happen.

I would be down to play as Necro, Ele, or Guard as those have always been my mains.

Like I said there will be restrictions on certain traits and builds. There will also be a strawpoll so people can vote on what builds and trait they want to ban.

im an ele so i will maybe pass until the mess from the last patch is sorted out, but you are a credit to the game OP for your support of the game

Just convert the gems to gold and mail it to me. I will either put it toward second place prize pool Or if more people donate I can expand it to third fourth fifth places etc.

What will be the stance on revenant? The whole class is HOT however if by non Hot you really just mean no elite specs, then perhaps non herald revenant could be allowed. Extending off of that would non-HOT include HOT released runes sigils and amulets, or once more are you just excluding HOT exclusive profession mechanics?

Rev’s Herald is their elite spec so, it can’t be used according to ruling but i’m no moderator.

Is Earth Shield banned on Elementalist?

Banning ranger LB seems really arbitrary. Friggen staff does more damage on the auto and can’t be reflected.

It a Non-Hot Tournament so Staff ranger is ban right off the bat. Also changed it to quickdraw is ban if you use LB

I realized this sound very kittens however if I do not implement these rules Warrior 1v1 will just take forever and not fun to watch.

Adrenal health is good because of the berzerker line, not because of the trait itself. Having to choose between the only viable heal skill or one of the mandatory trait lines is quite a steep cost.
Considering similar limitations are not placed on other classes.

If you want to make it fair, why not just disallow all traits period?
