Guild Wars 2

The NL Weekly 5v5s will be returning next Thursday (3/30/2017) at 8:00 PM EDT. Sign-ups are located at https://battlefy.com/team-never-lucky/nl-weekly-5v5-2/58e4074db5e88a033f9b1580/info?infoTab=details Players may sign up as five man premades or as free agents. Participation as a free agent requires access to a headset and Discord.

Prizes:
1st – 2,000 gems each
2nd – 800 gems each
3rd/4th – Mini Llama each
Prizing is dependent on eight teams participating in the event.

Rules:
*This is a North American tournament. All matches will take place on the North American servers. European players are allowed and encouraged to participate, but they must have access to North American accounts to play.
*Players are expected to be respectful and courteous to their fellow competitors and administrators. Any excessive vulgarity or bad-mannered communicated through any chat the administrators can see may result in a player/team being penalized.
Teams are restricted to two Pro League players per team. Pro League players are defined as players who participated in the World Championships Qualifiers.
*Class stacking is prohibited.
*If a player on the losing team calls “gg” at any point of the match, it will be taken as admission of defeat and the match will be ended, awarding victory to the opposing team. Admins reserve the right to ignore this rule at any time it appears logical to do so.
*The game may be reset because of DC within the first sixty seconds of the game. After that, it will be up to the opposing team if they want to offer a reset.
*Each team may substitute one player per tournament. Prizing will be distributed to the final roster after the substitution.
*Players will have five minutes between maps to change builds and discuss strategy. *After five minutes, the match will be force started.
*Matches will take place on a set pool of maps from Forest of Niflhel, Legacy of the Foefire, Battle of Kyhlo, Temple of the SIlent Storm, and Eternal Coliseum. The map pool will rotate weekly, which will be displayed on each individual tournament page.

Problem is actually having to make an account on ESL for all players, fill in information → signup and need to have guaranteed 8 teams to get rewards. Battlefy for players/teams are 10 times easier and therefor a bigger chance to get teams

Agree 110%. ESL was so problematic, seems I was always trying to get that 1 person to register, only to have the rest of the team lose interest all together. #rip

Battlefy is so much easier. In-game tournaments would be easiest.

I forgot to mention this in the original post, but you can sign up as a free agent and be put together with other solo players for the event. If you want to set up a a duo queue or more, message me in-game or on Discord.

There is a point to be made that this should be a Monthly until more participation is built up.

I was really hoping to get to sign up as a Free Agent but Thursday is just a rough night and it does appear I’ll still be at the office. Lame.

I hope this starts off as a jumping point, though! The community desperately NEEDS this.

theres only 2 teams atm, 3 are pending and rest are free agents.

Pending teams just means they haven’t added all five members to their Battlefy team, not that they don’t have them.
