For anyone confused, many many Necros ran tests of our own, and the general consensus was that Death Shroud was approximately 100-120% of our real HP. However we’ve been told by devs that it was 60%, and the preview showed that.
So there is a bit of confusion as to what exactly is happening, people aren’t quite sure if its a nerf, or if somehow our numbers are off by a pretty massive amount and there is some kind of bug happening to mess up our testing.

Assuming you compensated for the natural Death Shroud decay, that number might just be wrong so you overcompensated.
necros are imba in many eyes. one part of it is double health. One more thing is imba fear dmg and 10 sek of fear avialable which is more dangerous than stun or daze couse of moving effect.

You mean the DS that got nerfed to the ground & small bursts of fear max 2-3 seconds if traited by three skills.
There is no double health since dacay and overflow of damage and one has to charge it first. Give me inv anyday over it.

i love those ppl complain about necro when they dont even know what they are talking about :P
U can get 2s fear from mark + 3s fear from DS so idk where u can see that 10s fears :P Ofc when u run over and over into spectral wall yes u can get even more seconds of fear.
And when u are talking about that imba double hp bar remeber that necro have super low acces to escape/mobility/stability skills so our double hp bar + fear is a deff mechanism.
1st play the class , then write about it.

We do get extra fear upon downed, proc doesn’t count though.
Most powerful fear is “fear me though” a warrior skill..
Besides base damage of fear is really low/nil even when traited for damage on fear it is still insignificant on damage, unless you let necro’s stack conditions.
Don’t forget that fear is a condition and is the easiest cc to deal with.
but yeah necro’s are imba.. imba in a sense that we have no mobility..

I found it kinda funnie, that most of the people having fear from fear xD
Any form of chain CC sucks, whether that be chain fearing by a necro or chain stunning from a warrior
A necro can fear through a spectral wall and then throw down another fear. Chaining them together sucks
Having one or another is a defense mechanism. There should be a “revealed” type addition to all CC so that someone cannot be chain CCed. There are only so many stun breaks someone can carry.
But, that is a different topic. This is about a possible nerf to necro LF pool vs. miscalculation during community necro testing
Any kind of chain cc is bad. Powerful CC like stuns and fears should be capped at 2 seconds in that one person can only apply it enough times in a row to last 2 second over a given time period. Anybody that thinks losing control of your character for 3-4 seconds straight as a result of just one other character’s action is just fine shouldn’t give input on game balance.

Necro was OP , you can’t really say it was not . A Bunker with hard CC and high burst damage .
you mean the double health bar for a class that has no real mobility.. and the double health bar that goes down on it’s own, let alone from dmg..
yes because having another life bar with 18k hp is not good enough.

We did not change the life force values in this patch. We just updated the life force UI so that the actual hit point value is visible.

Nightmare runes need to be changed/removed full stop
Yeah, random CC was terrible in other MMOs and weeded out for good.
GW2 has remained along the same path, mostly, but these runes are an exception and need to be changed.
