how is your survivability with low vitality? also no pwr dmg?
Well cant say much since its only unranked pvp, but survivability looks fine, some toughtnes + high weakness uptime + shout minions that reduce dmg + reduced dmg from chilleld foes (all from instant cast skills that are hard to avoid and no LoS). You can try and attack npc bosses or lord with this defense and see how much/little dmg they do (not counting protection from 50% hp proc). Dont notice much lack of power, it seems the reaper shroud isnt as affected as core shroud is, where its nice to have more power (and with power easier to go pass diamond skin 1v1). The only thing i miss is some form of swiftnes, maybe i will try traveler runes.
But meh hard to talk of viability now, but atm it does the job for me and its lots of fun. Only problem i had was vs better mesmers and moa.

Its a bleeding build that can quickly reach 20-30 stacks in only a few seconds, along with all the cover conditions that come from staff and offhand dagger. So far, I haven’t lost a duel or even a 1v2 with this build, and its been getting me more damage on average then terror or signets did. Its also pretty survivable with the 20 second heal and 3 condi transfers. The only thing I needed to watch for is plague sig necros, but even they haven’t been a huge threat so far.

My biggest concern would be breaking through diamond skin ele’s with this build. Also how is the life force generation not having the warhorn 5 to keep you in reaper longer?

It still removes a condition periodically if they above 75% and I main ele, so trust me with fire 3 evade, 2 dodge rolls plus overcharge water, I will never go below 90% against a necro 1v1 because until he gets me below 75% I am constantly cleansing his condi’s.

It’s funny. DS only remove one condi per second, on struck. Any competent Necro I know can apply more than one condition per hit.

which is great for unranked because it does everything (support, damage and survivability). With shouts, you can pretty much survive forever in a team fight even if focused, you can rez allies since people got used to SnR but don’t expect transfusion.
I use NCSY instead of suffer if I don’t face condi-heavy comp.
I used to play a similar build with mercenary and curses instead of BM in season 2. The BM build looses a bit of damage pressure and mostly boon corrupt and gain some support. Both are ok I think.
(PS: I think gw2skills got the sage amulet wrong. I think it is HP minor stat and condi major)

I’ve personally gone the route of corruptionmancer. It is in no way a great build, but it is very efficient in dealing with this boon/condi filled meta. It solo’s strong, and can win team-fights.
(Soul Spiral in Corrosive Poison Cloud is awesome)

I’ve been actually using a power necro build after the patch. It has nothing to do with the patch but it’s a nice change of pace. On the bonus side, I’ve yet to lose to a condi reaper. That might well be more about general player quality in unranked but anyway.
