I didn’t play for 18 months. I came back about 10 days akitten so I still need to learn alot. But necro is so brainless and boring to play now. I expect all the classes are the same.

In the past a good necro would be a kiting god with spectral walk and flesh wurm. Now you just sit near your friends and get rallied, healed and ressed for ALOT which spunking out a load of condis (with zero effort).

Secondly, in the past I actually used to use my weapon skills for damage and had to use them intelligently. Now, I have learnt, that you do damage by passive proc traits. So going into death shroud and then switching weapon for all the procs is my spike lol. WTF is this about? Passive proc wars 2.

Thirdly, I used to have to manage my cooldowns so that I could time a death so that I would have mark 3 off cd for the poison. Now (except mark 4) I generally just spam all my kitten on the clusterkitten in a team fight. When someone goes down I just spam repear shroud 4 and everything usually just dies. Skill? Nope, it is brainless spam.

I know that if you get rid of all these passive procs then necro would never kill anything because of all the invulns and immunity you gave to other classes. But I have had random 1 shots on classes like dragon hunters where I go into repear shroud and proc chill of death, plague signet transfer, vuln from chill of death, chill of death gives bleed due to deathly chill, I get the axe 3 proc going into death shroud and the weakening shroud proc.

Where is the skill? It doesn’t exist. Necro is brain dead now. Sad

Maybe you should try to get out of bronze and then try to play nec in higher tiers

Nec is now need best skill to handle. May be you can try it in high MMR. If you have something mistake on movement, skill use, position, life force control, dodge use, jumping skill…..
Then focus fire will take you out about 5 Sec in a teamfight. And every other class also bite you like a free meat on 1V1.

When everyone spam their block block block inv evade healing mobility 123456 brainless rotation. Nec just have their Life force and poor 5-10 sec Stability that can transformation and not work in numerous CC. And most of skill need to spell in NEC. If you in a hard focus fire. CC can make you even not to do a dodge or a skill spell.

Anyway, You know what mean on block , inv and dodge
Block = Stability + HP + 100%working in numerous CC.
Invincible = Stability + HP + 100%working in numerous CC.
Dodge Spam = Stability + HP + 50%working in numerous CC + mobility.

Let us see NEC
Life force = HP. that all
LOL, This game is fair that I have never see.
That also why NEC is a first target in High tiers AND all can bite you in 1V1

To be fair, necro does have low skill floor. It was first character i switched to if we had too many thieves on team.

This is true, but its not just necro. Everything is spam nowadays.

The complaint isn’t that necro is too strong (although it arguably is at high tiers when given proper support), its that so much of the damage comes from auto-procs. There isn’t pressure to intelligently land skills, you just let a fly randomly touch someone from warhorn 5 and he eats 5 simultaneous procs if his health happens to be below a certain number. Its honestly pathetic that one of the top-tier builds is called “procmancer,” and just relies on traits all passively proccing/weapon swaps/reapers shroud swap to do insane damage.

Think about how stupid that is to cast/watch too “ooooo, that guy just got obliterated b/c some random aoe happened to touch him while his health was just below 50%!! WHAT A GREAT PLAY!!!”

Then again, people have been complaining about stupid procs with no tell forever, and its only gotten worse and worse. Expect that trajectory to continue. Maybe next expansion fights will be 100% decided by who procs the other guy with boatloads of free unavoidable damage!

Necro takes skill especially if you play without support. You have to outplay 2-3-4 kitten zerg players all the time without damage avoidance and good disengage skills almost every game. What takes skill if surviving multiple enemy attacks on a class that don’t have 100% damage avoidance run away fast heal back oh kitten mechanic isn’t?

What about the classes that can top both kills, damage and healing meters. They arent brain dead for being able to do everything too good in 1 class?

If you play in low ranks, yes, it’s all a full spam game where who spam better win.
At higher level you will find that spam your signets is a bad idea, you need to keep them to corrupt the enemy stability (almost everything else outside stability and, sometimes, might don’t give you any advantage on the enemy when corrupted, in this meta), focus the target and be shure that everyone is focusing him to make them able to kill it, pay attention to your LF and chose when use it to survive and when die to turn back with a good amount of it to fight better, change your utility depending on the enemy team composition to corrupt more boons, clean/send back more conditions, have more “movement skills”, know when you’re near to die and try to fall downed near an ally to help him to ress you, and more.

The necromancer in this meta is good only to corrupt boons (and is asked only for that), his damage is at a mid tier and can’t really burst anyone (not as any other class can do), don’t have any true defensive skill and his fighting style is static and don’t let you a real change to fight in a disadvantaged situation.

Actually the necromancer is forced to spam his scepter AA and use his signets to corrupt boons, nothing more. And that’s the reason that make a lot of players bored of the necromancer.
The only thing that make it “funny” to play is when you’re in a good team that protect you, and let you do your work, and see the enemy team fall under your boon corruption spam. Also his totally lack of defensive skills force you to a more tactical playstyle, making you chose whisely when fight and when flee before it’s too late, hopefuly to turn back after a fast hp regeneration.

If you can, try to go up to a high rank and play your necromancer at high levels, you will find the difficult to play it a stimulation to do better and learn how to teamplay.

i like necro. they are balanced. they dont have stupid op gimmicks. they dont run alll the time. they dont stealth. they dont teleport. they dont block or evade spam or invulnerable alll the friggin time, their downed abilities are very fair.

these are alllll very rare thing these days….and necro happens to have allll of these rare and fair things.

I used to love playing my necro, not so much now. It is pretty much key spam, dodge, shroud; rinse & repeat
