Is it just me or are the Necromancers disabled from the new PvP daily system? Ever since the new daily system came out (almost a month ago) I’ve been doing both daily classes for the extra reward track bonus and cause I found this the perfect reason to try out other classes.

I was only playing my main since the release when I was in PvP, which wasn’t very often. Only recently I got kinda hardcore into it.

Back to the topic, so far I got like 10+ ranked wins on all other classes except my main (150/150) and Necromancer (0/1) in the PvP achievement section. I know I missed one day at the release of the new daily system so Necromancer was maybe on that day, I don’t know. But I know it never came back after that, if it even was available then.

Is it bugged for Necros or did they disable it on purpose? Reason being something like 2+ Necros in each team that day would not be fun for anyone, maybe? Since I see 3 rangers, thieves, eles, engies and so on per team when their daily is up.

Though it hasn’t appeared in a long time so I’m actually curious myself. Could just be “the RNG” and “GReNth” doesn’t want to favor its favorite child.

It’s almost never necro. Seems like it is RNG and necro rarely gets selected. Another reason that this concept doesn’t work in practice.

And why Engineer is up like half the time.

Pretty sure Necro was up the 2nd day and that was it. May have been another 2 days later but definitely not more than 2. I was talking to my friend when we saw engi/ guard pop up once again.

You shouldn’t have these in PvP period; but if you are going to, then make it even. Make each day have a specific 2 and then cycle through them. Seems to be RNG which is even more stupid than having them at all.

Should just get rid of them like Ghost said. Make a single one that says win 2 matches with the same class. Make another that says win an unranked match. Make another that says win a ranked match.

That covers all your bases and ensures everyone still can get 2 dailys with ease.

Bumping this thread. Remove daily profession, or randomize it for everyone. Example: someone gets daily necro/engi and another person gets daily mesmer/ele in the same day.

Yes, I have noticed that Necromancer is extremely rare and Engineer seems unusually frequent. I’m not sure if the dailies are pure RNG or if Engineers are just on a long streak and they’ll be extremely rare later down the line.

That’s not how pure RNG works which I doubt is the mechanism since the dailies are made to be accessable for everyone. So if a player has 6 or lower different classes ( which is reasonable to assume since you have only 5 free slots) he will lose out if both dailies do not match one of his classes, so by increasing the probability of a class which is possessed often and reducing the possibility of a class that is not often possessed you reduce the occurences of not being able to acquire the pvp dailies.

Yeah with that said all the engineers have kept my necro good and relevant. So that is actually nice. But the fact that I can’t complete the daily on my main at all is frustrating.

Unless it’s random like that one thread suggested, I don’t see any way that this is helpful to pvp.

IMO class based dailies are stupid and should be changed or given a bigger pool. Like one class per armor type.

The reason why Necromancer isn’t often as daily class for PvP is because ArenaNet want to avoid 1v1 Lich Form spam which would eventually lead to countless QQ threads about Lich Form.

Or maybe they take into account how many of each class are in the pvp player pool, of which necromancers are definitely in the minority.

It isn’t random, it is preset. Mesmer/Necro PvP daily appear only during the first 2 weeks of the monthly reset. All other times, it rotates between the other classes. Whoever set up the daily certainly forgot to add Mesmer/Necros into the rotations for the latter portion of the month. Guardian and Engineers appear to be the most common daily appearing least twice a week.

Warrior is quite a popular class and certainly doesn’t appear as often if it uses player pool for the daily.
