And the time between seasons should be the pre-season for rating determining purposes. This current system benefits high MMR players that grouped all the time in there pvp career. All they needed to do was have a modest preseason and they start way up in the rankings. This current system is very tough on average to slightly above average mmr players. If you dont want to do that then no one should start higher then gold. No one should be platinum on day one thats ridiculous. You want to promote people playing a lot not a handful of games here and there to protect the rating. There should not be legendary players already. People should have to totally prove there solo and duo bonafides and it should take more then a few days. The records of the people at the top of the leaderboard show how broken the system is. I remember the old solo queue well once they got rid of synch queing I dont remmeber people being able to win more then about 60% of there matches. That we have people with 70-90% win rates is ridiculous.

People having 70-90% winrates because it’s week 1. They won’t be able to maintain that longterm.

All the trolls that get dropped to bottom tier bronze for raging and going afk at the keyboard will get to compete at a normal rating again.

These trolls should have to slime their way back up, by winning, before ANET makes us play with them again.

Anet did a soft mmr reset, as was suggested they do from complaints gathered from prevoius seasons. Next season when they don’t do a mmr reset, people will undoubtedly blame this lack of reset as the reason they are having bad matches.

Rly? No soft reset again next season?

They where foolish not to do a full reset.

There “balance” from their previous season where completely screwed. which is artificially putting people where they don’t belong. ( they have a higher/Lower MMR then there suppose to)

As for 70%+ higher rating, your forgetting alot of poeople quit this game, there really isn’t much competition involved anymore. and even if there where people equaly skilled to fight against them they would still lose. The one with 70%+ have been playing with each other for years. that’s a big advantage in musical chairs.

Personally i would think fighting people Duo qing wouldn’t be that much of an issue. the only problem with full premades was the god awful rez mechanic. which made it impossible for a solo qer to bring them to the “Defeated” state. (downing them wasn’t a big problem)

hard MMR reset account wise is a MUST now. It is the only way can solve problems of old players with big game count and their fixed win ratio.
you simply can not judge people’s win ratio is avarage or low because they are not that good 3-4 years ago.

It’s 2017, If you want to save pvp reset all MMR of every account.

It would end instantly if we could get a rating system that works for individuals instead of one designed for premades. Losing rating because some guy lost a 1v1 and went afk raging… is that my fault somehow? Why am I being punished for that?
