It’s a good roamer because of the mobility GS gives but has much weaker team support with no Combustive shot or Earthshaker.

Both of these can be modified for me damage with Zerker ammys but honestly I think running tougher is better most of the time. Not to mention with might stacking you’re DPS still won’t be that bad.

There are some condi builds but they’re only strong 1v1 and not too useful in team fights.

Hey, isn’t a death sentence to play such a build in a condi meta?
I’d put out 20 points from strength or 10 from it and 10 from disci and put 20 into def for cleansing ire. And I’d use Berserker Stance or Signet of Stamina.OR you can man up 100%, as some say, use Mending and become an elitist jerk. Or a free kill. Or both.XD

NEVER go rifle. In spvp is inferior in every way. LB is better.

Well if hes new to game he is not going to be playing top tier super uber tpvp (which does not exist anymore since pvp is pretty much dead) any build works in hotjoins or so yolo tourneys. Someone good on that build is far from freekill. You can always use mending I just prefer healing surge for adrenaline.

Tunnel the necro if they don’t know how to peel for necro then you guys should win. For necro if you run beserks stance instead of signet that can really help too.

+1 to apt for that build.

Also, guys push your limits on your class. If you can run really hard builds well you’re going to see a huge difference in your skill level.

Hammer is one of the hardest weapons in the game, I’d consider it the superior team fighter. That being said Skullcracker is still good for getting back and forth quickly. The build apt posted is a build for a Power Meta. It has NO condition removal to speak of, and even uses Healing Signet with Berserker gear which makes no sense.

Say what you will about the builds I’ve posted, but they’ve been proven effective in this meta. Running a bad build won’t make you better.

Is tanky, can live with condi removal, has a good damage output and is almost cheese-free (you can swap out healing signet). And you have to work to keep your might stacks high.

You deal almost as much damage as a berserk warrior, but you have to watch all the boon stealing, so you have to pick your fight. It’s a bit of a trade off. But even Mace/GD warrs will fear you, once you spike them with the LongBro.XD

It’s not as hardcore as apt’s one, but this might work in tourneis even now, I guess.

The mace stun build I pretty much was playing for 6-7 months and made the variation 0/30/20/0/20 than gave it to few friends and it now is a lot more popular now since it became easy and was revealed to everyone by few people who actually posted onto forums a week ago. There’s no point of him playing easy to play specs if hes new and straight away plays a meta build trust me he will just feel so much weaker once those builds are toned down. The best way to start of as a warr would be to start with zerk than work your way up learning the fundamentals. Meta builds ignore fundamentals they bypass them and will come to haunt him later if he does not learn them early. That’s my reasoning for him not to play cheese meta builds. But, of course its his choice to choose what build he would like to play.

The best way to “find your path” is to pick up a pretty standard damage-oriented build and play some matches.
After those matches, ask yourself: what am I lacking? Sustain, control, damage, survivability? Do I like the play style of these weapons or do I prefer something more dynamic/static?
Start with the default build and then tweak it step by step. This is how a good player is forged, by experience and self-analysis.
Copy-pasting has sense only when you have a solid base and you want to experience something new to compare with your current play.

wth you talking about, it was me who created this mace build since beta then i gave it to some friends of mine 4 months ago and bam it became the meta build 2 months after that.

don’t forget weapons you use mace, sword main hand, shield mace off hand, greatsword, longbow and rifle, maybe equip hammer on your foot too.

so you can do tons of damage while stun lock enemies and range attack or aoe people if they try to keep distance while having good mobility.

You could get about 30% more evisc dps and condi cleanse with the right trait setup.

If you take the one of the best performance European sports car, the Lamborghini, it has an automatic manual clutch. It has gears you can change, but no clutch. Its traction control and wheel base ensure that if you hit a corner at 200km+ per hour, your still going to make it round. I will admit reversing them is a kitten though. The point is, streamlined builds are fine. The best builds usually are streamlined.

But it’s true Skull Crack is different from other warrior builds. You shouldn’t get used to it as your first build. If it gets nerfed, you’ll find out what you learnt doesn’t apply to other stuff.

I’ve used the Hammer CC build (Hammer+Mace/Shield 0/0/20/20/30 – Soldier’s Amulet) and a Skullcrack variant (Greatsword + Mace/Shield 0/20/20/0/30 – Berserker’s Amulet). I use Superior Runes of Lyssa.

The Hammer build offers excellent team support but is lacking in the ability to burst, you can switch out the mace for an axe or sword but your ability to support your team diminishes greatly as you lose out on an extra block and your longest stun. In return you can gain mobility and extra damage, but the choice is up to you. You can tank a fair amount, but if you want to cause a lot of damage I wouldn’t recommend the build I use. It’s almost strictly for support.

The Skullcrack variant build I use, and it varies in the fact that I’m not using almost exclusively signets in my utilities, can still offer good support via Skullcrack as well as being able to soak damage with Counterblow, Shield Stance, and Endure Pain.

Both builds have the same utility skills slotted, I have Balanced Stance to stomp and keep from being controlled in team fights, Endure Pain to soak damage while supporting my team or ressing/stomping, and Signet of Stamina for passive Adrenaline gain as well as condition removal. I use Signet of Rage as my elite because of its short cooldown, great boons, and condition removal with Superior Runes of Lyssa.

Stop by my youtube channel to see them in action, I’m only rank 16 currently but I feel as if I do well enough. Hopefully you find a build that suits you, though the ability to swap between multiple builds based on your team’s needs would be useful.

It’s a bit more entertaining, because you’ll use all your GS skills to pressure the opponent. And you can cover every aspect of the fight. Did wonders in solo tourneys. But now I feel bad at using it, and sure as hell I’ll NEVER use it in hotjoin.

When I faced other Skullcrack warriors I beat them. Maybe it’s not the strongest, but I guess it’s strong enough to overpower the standard Skullcrack build.
