Have a nice day.
Hi,
I’ve been casually playing PvP for the last two and a half years now. Tried and played various classes, but never really figured out how or what to play as a Warrior.
I mostly enjoyed playing bunker-stuff like Turret-Engi(when it was still a thing), Staff-Ele(when diamond skin was OP) or MM-Necro. I played more aggressive roles with my Ranger, Thief or Mesmer but since I mostly soloQ, I made the experience that, running with a somewhat-bunker build, I at least get one bunker every match
Recently I have played around with different things on Warrior. I tried to be a Condi-Bunker(Berserker-stuff, Sword/Torch, LB), i tried to bunker with stances and banners, i tried to be a mindless Hambow. But nothing really worked for me.
Maybe Worrior isn’t for me, but I really like to have a build I enjoy playing, at least for the dailies maybe for the other PvP-Warrior-Achievements…
Long story short: Does anyone has a good Idea what build I could try that’s somewhat tanky and fun to play?
Thanks a lot in advance and have a nice day
With a warrior you want to play a DPS build and finish the enemy ASAP. Contrary to what its said, the longer a warrior stays in the battle the weaker he becomes due to low sustain and not any way to recover back. Stealth classes can reset fights and the others have multiple reliable sources of healing or active defense like blind spamming.
thanks^^
Is there some sort of middle ground? A build that let’s me hold a point in Conquest against 1 or 2 players until help arrives? Or is DPS/Glasscannon the only way to go?
I sometimes find myself holding mid alone when I’m playing Mesmer or Thief(#puglife). As classes strong in 1Vs1 situations I end up defending the point, against one sometimes two attackers, by being evasive and bursting the sorry sobs down.
Is there a build for Warrior that could work like this? That was the idea when I tried using banners to bunker down a point.
warrior has no sustain, you can’t bunk..
also warrior has no reliable gap closer and most attacks are clunky as hell, so good luck on doing damage other then gunflame

Put in the effort to learn revenant. It’s not a noob friendly class but when played properly it does everything a warrior could want and more.
I’m playing Rev as well and been enjoying it a lot. Still, playing a Revenant won’t get me my Warrior Wins or a Champion Legionnaire Title any time soon
“Warris can’t bunk” does it really boil down to this?
Greatsword/ axe+shield berserker can dish out a ton of damage and can be quite survivable if you manage your defensive cooldowns well (gs3, block, endure pain) and just keep constant pressure on your targets and dont give them any time to breath
But overall warrior is still easy to focus and not very good for sustained fights, but thats the build ive been having the best results on warrior with (at least in unranked), still would rather play revenant or guardian in a serious situation for the most part
