Nerf Haste. Meta changed to WvW balance?
Timewarp was too strong, so for that Skill in particular its fine. As for traited quickness, sigils, Petswap and warrior Frenzy, there is no real compensation
this will REALLY hurt alot of warrior builds.
Quickness was outrageous and needed a nerf.
Hopefully they don’t take long to fix the builds that pretty much needed it to be great without it, so Warriors don’t have to copy & paste Frenzy to 80% of their builds.
I guess what im asking is: Do you think they changed this because it now has the potential to ruin WvW balance through golem rushing with siege might?
It doesn’t make sense they randomly nerf haste. They nerfed burst and left bunkers (eles included) untouched. Im starting to think they are balancing more around what makes the money (WvW and PvE)… They go on to state that pve dungeons werent complicated because of quickness. Thoughts?

No it got nerfed because a 100% increase to attack speed is overpowered. No need to get in to conspiracy theories its a bad game mechanic. I can’t remember a game with haste like that where it wasn’t nerfed eventually.
Not debating it needed a nerf. It was blatantly overpowered for how long? They finally nerf it because it was beginning to effect pve and possibly wvw with the new progression updates allowing for siege might making golems plus timewarp too strong. Anybody seen the pve threads crying because people are farming CoF speed runs with 4 warriors and a mesmer and they arn’t invited because they are X class? They need to seperate PvE, WvW, and SPVP balance but they don’t have the resources for it

Like they said the reason for nerfing is pointless, the simple fact is it was OP. Once you understand that, it doesn’t really matter the reason they changed it NOW.
Another reason could simply be that, they finally had the guts to admit Quickness was a bad mechanic from the start.
This is an mmo forum, if someone isn’t whining chances are the game is dead.
Well i find it frustrating that the spvp meta is going to be based off PVE balance to prevent 4 warriors and 1 mesmer from speedrunning CoF to farm gold and tank the economy there. They didn’t even try for counterbalance.
Honestly the patch was just lazy.
The quickness nerf was a good one on the whole, but they didn’t even bother trying to balance it around the new numbers. They could have just removed it from the game and had the same practical effect with a lot less work on the programming side.
Deciding to just take a dump on stealth when it’s being used in a way that has counterplay instead of putting any actual effort into closing the stealth abuses? Lazy.
I’m really disappointed. This is the kind of work I expect to see from a F2P Chinese MMO company, not A.Net.
