He is too OP compared to svanir. His axe pull into KD kick = death. Too stronk. I would also like to mention that the landscape with chieftain is also way tighter and harder to kite chieftain in, not to mention it’s right beside the node. Svanir side node is farther away from svanir so you can solo with no interrupts. Oh and svanir has no ranged attacks making him super ez to kill like mesmer and ele. Whenever i kill chieftain i get ganked by 5 mesmers and then i have to 5v1 usually near chieftain (which i usually win) but then when my back is turned chieftain throws axe at me and i die in 1 second with his axe kick combo.

This is not fair game because the team who has to play on chieftain side has to kill a OP boss unlike svanir side. I hope this is mentioned in next SOTG

But yeah I do agree that these monsters need to get reworked. Warriors can hundred to zero them without much effort and without taking damage back.

I thought it was suppose to be a team effort to take down those type of guys in pvp and not solo.

You can do it solo, but you’ll need control skills to keep chieftain still and evade his boomerang or whatever he throws. Chieftain weakness is pretty much cripple, immobilize and knock backs like any other player that doesn’t have a stability ability.

Although I do agree Chieftain is harder than Svanir I really don’t think this should be nerfed nor should Anet waste time changing it.

Also if I read the post from the OP correctly. He can 5v1 (5 Mesmers) and win.. but not kill 1 NPC? Something does not seem right. DA FAQ

the same goes with the side nodes in legacy of the foefire. You can stand against the barricade in waterfall to prevent getting knocked out, but the one in quarry is separated from the node.

Never thought I would see this day. Once Schwahrheit taught me the 100 to 0, I felt like bosses needed a buff. It can be done with practically any combo as shown in his vid.

You missed the point. Chieftain is slightly harder to kill than Svanir and this is a tournament map.

give svarnir a long range kd to make them equal. anet, i choose you!!!!

so what, hes slightly harder. if you evade the axe coming for you, it never comes back for you. and if u miss that one, u can still evade it coming back, which gives you 2 chances to avoid the combo. and if you avoid that, hes easy peasy. kiting / ranged / immobilizes help. as a ranger i can easily solo either of them with full health at the end. but i also practice in the mists

That’s besides the point. If you cripple or chill svanir he can’t even touch you. Chieftain can.

I solo him all the time.. it’s his opening move so do this

attack.. side step with Q or E then kill as normal..

I’m not talking about if he’s soloable bro. I can solo him too, I’m just saying there’s clear disadvantages of being on chieftain side.

I disagree. Svanir hits WAY harder, faster and charges you, whereas the Chieftain is all about dodging the first axe/knockdown combo and you’re golden. Also, it’s more of a team effort to take them down, though it is possible and very easy for certain classes to take them down by themselves. So making them soloable for every class would make no sense towards teamplay.
