Nerf everything or buff War and thief
I like this idea. Power creep is a little crazy right now, so it would be nice if Anet just made everything except war and thief a bit weaker.
Remember if you nerf everything, the PVE crowd could create a rebellion after the HOT difficulty increase (Raids and in general the new maps).
Balancing is an hard job in a game like this with multiple modes.
And other thing, Celestial is not the only problem when there are marauder boyz who can deal a huge amaunt of damage and be tanky, really tanky at the same time.
Please dont, Thieves and their stealth abuse disguising as skill play has had it’s golden age, I’m glad we are pass that.

That’s why you should balance for sPvP ! Like dmg reduction by a certain percent. Or little different modification on the skill.
Thing that existed in GW1, and that existed for some skills in GW2 (thinking of Heartseeker on thief).

I mean just because you share the same skins in PvP&PvE. It doesn’t have to be PvPvE / fusionned completely.
They are completely different game modes first of all. And it would totally make sense if they balance the game differently….

Don’t lie… they are still good 1v1-ers. Now their problem is … in teamfights, they don’t have sustain & dmg/&utility to be useful, it’s always been like this tbh imo. The in-and-out they could done easily before are now countered by huge massive AoE CC’s … And most classes can manage to stick on them, if focused their HP bar goes 100-down-0 very quickly.
Need buff but carefully :x

You want to talk about the AA of the Rev? 2 hits = 4-7 / 8k dmg.
Just the 3 on sword => 12-17k dmg. (air&fire sigils + enchanted daggers).
And your lack of skill against a warrior won’t make him suddenly OP … Eviscerate is one of the most easily dodged skill in the game…
Go make a Warrior and come back here. Or just duel me, I’ll ridicule you with my Rev

At this point in the meta other classes are overpowered relative to thief. Thieves have solid mobility and can maneuver the map very well, but doing any kind of engagement with the enemy really is a waste of their time as their lack of CCs and small HP pool get them wiped fast.
Assuming that Anet isn’t going to bite the bullet and split skill balance, PvE mobs/bosses can always have their power and HP scaled to match nerfs that are made in PvP. We’ve seen huge amounts of power creep in the past few months, to the detriment of all three game modes. Everything needs a good solid nerf.
Thief and Warrior might be a good point of balance initially, but I feel like to really fix things, we need to return to pre-specialization patch power levels (while dealing with Cele Amulets to prevent another bunker/bruiser meta), so those two professions might eventually need to be included in the global nerfs.

I’ll remember how stupid OP evis is the next time it sends me in the wrong direction, doesn’t hit for literally no reason, or is spam blocked/evaded/missed/etc.
You’re kittening garbage if you’re actively losing to warriors.
I think thief and warrior are close to a good balance just need some small tweaks so, I say, nerf the other professions to their level. Enough with power and cc creep.

lol thief is terrible at 1v1. Hell even the metabattle site lists 1v1 as a weakness. If you lose to a thief 1v1 as a meta build, you’re terrible.
