Let the player choose the combination, and Anet can ban those that are too good (like Dire as an example)

Evident Amulet
3 stats combination:
1200 (pick a stat)
900 (pick a stat excluding #1)
900 (pick a stat excluding #1 and #2)

Distinct Amulet
4 stats combination:
1050 (pick a stat)
1050 (pick a stat excluding #1)
560 (pick a stat excluding #1 and #2)
560 (pick a stat excluding #1 and #2 and #3)

Simple! now everyone can make there combinations!
Enough of this endless amulet creating removing whatever..

Why not??

I had the same idea about making his own stat combination’s. Another idea would be that you have a like 3000points and can equip them like you want( but having a maximum of points that you can equip to one stat) just brainstorming

Thats almost the same as Wanderer, why do you think this would be bad? (why the word cancerous? i find this really confronting and not sure why many use this word as an expression)

Anyways, if it would be a OP combination like you say then Anet can simple ban the combination, but overall we as the players have more options.

I would like it, but it would allow for max bunker setups and its planed to get rid of them.
Its intended not to make it custom for more control.

@Fluffbal and Wolfric, if its OP they can simple ban it, so what is the big deal about it? why is this worse then what we have? with this we could have more combinations, ofc there also would be more combinations banned but in the end there would be more options then what we have now.

But looks like people rather want to just post a OP combinations and say its an terrible idea and leave.

@ Wolfric it is custom and they have control over it.. let them monitor the combinations and see what happens.. now we are stuck with what Anet puts into the game with combinations and most of them are just stupid ugly that nobody wants because Anet knows its bad. thats what Anet does.. put stupid combinations in the game

If they place limitations on the choice then it can work.

For example, if the total points pool = 3200:

1. Pick your primary stat at a range between 1050 and 1200 points (have a slider so it can be anywhere in between.

2. Secondary stat choices are available depending on the primary choice and the remaining number of points, with number caps. The secondary stat has a maximum value of 1050, only if the primary stat has also been chosen at 1050. If the primary stat choice is above 1050, the secondary stat lies between 1050 and 900 points. So as one slider goes up, the other goes down.

3. The remaining 1100 points must be split between 2 further stats, but they can be chosen in any range between 550/550 and 900/200.

So the results would look like this:
Primary – 1200 -> 1050
Secondary – 900 -> 1050
Tertiary – 550/550 -> 900/200

All amulets would then be normalised to a fixed maximum number of points. It could be extended to 5 or more stat possibilities, but would make it more complicated.

Stat Exclusions:
Simple “greyed out” selection depending on stat choices and values. Would of course require testing to see which combinations would be overpowered (ie Dire).

For example, if the Primary stat is Condition Damage, the Secondary stat cannot be Expertise. If a Tertiary stat is Expertise, it is capped at 550 points.

If the Primary Stat is Condition Damage and the Secondary Stat is either Toughness or Vitality, the Tertiary stat cannot have Vitality/Toughness. If the tertiary stat is expertise, it is capped at 550 points.

And so on…

So you could do things like:

950 Toughness
800 Precision
300 Ferocity

Thats what i ment with this topic indeed!
In the end the player has more (also feels more) options and customization, while Anet doesnt have to remove/add amulets but simple ban some combination by greying them out.

Hell no...allowing players to choose their own states won’t make things any better, it would just make things much worse.

Yeah you prefer the weird combinations that Anet puts into this game?
Most of them are made bad because they are too scared there would be another OP combination.

Let it be and monitor it! let Anet does it job and stop creating silly combinations and very few combination also.

But seems like people dont want customizations.. maby remove all classes and put a new class in PvP with only 3 skills.. because that would be also more balanced…

A good suggestion was to split all current amulets in weapon/armor/trinkets.
So you can pick diffrent ones for custom combinations. That would be enough.
Even a simple 50/50 (or 40/60) split armor/trinkes would be nice. And yes you can pick the same which will result in the current amulets. It would create a lot of options.

I am for it. If anet have worry about another bunker meta(if they remove settler) you can allow healing power or toughness only with 560 stat points. This can be thing of discuss. So what do you thing guys, don’t look only on us, they want balance and something tell me no hatd bunker amulets.

Wanderer = 1050 precision, close to wasted stat for condition players. And yes actually 1050 condi dmg 1050 expertise 560 vitality and 560 toughness would even be more cancerous
