New, Frustrated, Want to be better
Are you playing hotjoin by chance?
Windows 10
No. I tried hotjoin at first but it was just one lopsided team farming people like me coming in to learn. I leveled to where I am…which is 31 or 32 I forgot with almost all soloQ
That’s why I quit playing Soloq, because no one takes it seriously anymore. I’m glad there are still a few that are, but for the most part, people are in it for dailies, points, etc.
I think points should not be awarded until the end of the match, and EVERYONE should get the same amount of points for winning so that bunkers aren’t shafted for doing their jobs. There should be no points for kills, capping points, destroying treb etc. That way, there should no reason why two or more people are capping a point and there would be an actual incentive to win the match because that’s where the reward comes from.
Try a PvP guild or group up with friends and go into tPvP, it’s the only place where madness occurs less often… depending on howmany slots you can’t fill ;-)
Go solojoining team Arena.
No Skyhammer, no Spiritwatch, better rewards and the players usally seem to care about winning.
Last patch brought an influx of new players flooding the system.
- Carry harder
- Stop queuing for 10-15min if you keep getting the same players
- Do team arena
- Wait a few months or years for the new players to learn or settle down on their rating since new players are seeded way too high which ruins match making.
The only exclusive skyhammer stream
Try using a different build or a more optimal set-up?
A couple months ago, while I was putting together my main Engineer Commander Build, I calculated that about 375-550 points in BOTH Vitality and Toughness from ALL sources provides an optimal amount of durability for the Engineer. That is the best range, whereby more than 550 points has greatly diminished returns, and below 375 points gives greatly sub-optimal returns.
Optimal durability should be between 2.6k-2.9k Armor total, and between 21k- 24k HP at max.
However you get closest to those values is up to you.
Celestial is the easiest way to get close to those values without mixing many equipment types. (I’m also lazy and haven’t calculated the optimum ways to get to there by mixing types— too many combos)
This is good for the Ranger profession, too. The Engineer and Ranger have the same base health pools and armor ratings at level 80.
I have calculated other optimal durability values for other professions, too, and they appear to be relatively similar in raw attribute point allocation to the Engineer’s and Ranger’s curves. But I haven’t put my math to the test for the other professions.
EDIT:
For Clarification: These values are based on Exotic PvE/WvW equipment and trait values.
Guild Wars 2 needs a Public Beta Environment

try team arena with your guild members.
that is what i do nowadays.
in my casual guild (which consist of mostly PvE and WvW players) we have more than 5 guild members who are interested in doing casual team arena so it is not very hard for us to field a team of 5 to queue in team arena.
Epidemix, look at the link in my signature, it might be what you’re looking for.
To carry the noobs you must have the strength of 2 noobs and destroy the opening mid teamfight then camp their homepoint while winning 1v2s and 3s, I have had the best success running gs/lb warrior (22/4 record) going from the bottom of the leaderboard due to a 9 loss streak caused by leavers and noobs to the top. Engy is also really easy to carry with.
Try guild wars. I’m not kidding. If you enjoy PvP of this style, but are looking for more purposeful teams, try guild wars. It is showing it age these days, but still a great game. Amazing game if you consider it was anets first offer to the MMO world and it is still running today.
Gotta agree with those people saying team q rather than solo q. It is usually a more pleasant experience all around and does not have spirit watch and skyhammer, which I find require special builds.
Going solo in team q is fine, but if you can get even one friend to play with you using teamspeak or something and you play well, you can pick up random people that you notice play well and then q with them. I have done this a few times and it can be a very pleasant experience.

Ditto.
Some1 said you jsut need 30% win ratio in teamQ, and youll still get more rewards. And if you get paired with 4, who are actualy in a team, you can learn from them or just ask to join their group next game.
Oh and repeat the honorable mention: NO SKYHAM
Basically players that have played mostly PvE are not playing in PvP. This is not a problem exactly it will just take time for these elitist minded players to accept that you will not get more points, nor will you win if you zerg around. Which is what most PvE players are accustomed to.
Are you playing on EU or NA? (You said your English was bad so perhaps you’re in EU?) If you’re on EU, PM me in-game because we love to do team arena and it is always nice to get someone who just wants to learn. Just being willing to learn already makes you better than many players out there.
