Introduction
- Intended to be new Hotjoin casual game mode for casual players.

Teams
- 5 Teams: Blue, Red, Green, White, Black.
- Up to 4 players per Team.
- Max 20 players per server.

Instructions Menu Concept
- Middle section “Join Red Team 0 V 0 Blue Team Join” is removed.
- Middle section now shows scores of all 5 teams in the game.

Concept
- Existing Capture Points becomes player respawn base for the additional 3 Teams.
- Team Respawn Waves every 20 seconds.
- 4 Blitz Points in each map.
- One Meditation of Ferocity randomly spawns in any Blitz Points every minute.
- New Meditation of Ferocity will not spawn in Blitz Points that already have one.
- Up to 4 Medication of Ferocity possible if existing not successful communed.

New Teams Respawn Base
- Players are immune to all damage while inside their respawn base.
- Players cannot attack outside while inside their respawn base.
- Players are in stealth indefinitely until they leave their respawn base.
- Players cannot return to their respawn base once they leave.

Scoring
- Successful commune of Meditation of Ferocity grants 10 Team Score.
- Assists on Stomps / Bleed Outs grants 5 Team Score.
- Last Hit grants 5 Team Score
- Stomp grants 10 Team Score
- Each stack of Meditation of Ferocity gives extra 2 Team Score for Assists.
- Each stack of Meditation of Ferocity gives extra 3 Team Score for Last Hit.
- Each stack of Meditation of Ferocity gives extra 5 Team Score for Stomp.
- Killing someone with at least 2 Meditation of Ferocity gives extra 5 Team Score.

Notes on Scoring:
- More than one team can get credit for Assists on Stomps / Bleed Outs
- Only one team can score a Last Hit or Stomp.
- Basically the last team standing in a team fight will score the most points.

Rules
- 15 minutes time limit.
- First team to score 500 Team Score wins.
- Successful commune of Meditation of Ferocity gives buff to all team members.
- Meditation of Ferocity buff does not expire.
- Meditation of Ferocity buff is removed on down.
- Maps original secondary objectives removed.

hey there Liewec, thanks for the feedback!

well, one single Meditation of Ferocity will randomly spawn in either 4 blitz points, it is up the teams to decide when to blitz the points.

a successful early blitz may score them a successful commune, however, a failed blitz means they will get barraged to the ground by other teams.

also, having more meditation of ferocity buff may give more points for kills, but also gives other teams more kills as well.

yeah, i miss the various game modes in the original guild wars.

though i know there is close to 0% of a game mode appearing anytime soon, i will still make noise.

it took them 8 years to come out with a pvp build menu and wardrobe system anyway.
better late than never!

it has been 2 weeks and so here are some updates:

renamed the name from “Penta Blitz” into “Blitz”
updated new teams respawn base a bit.
updated scoring a bit.

Anet doesn’t spend money developing PvP content, and they have a super genius who forsaw that Conquest Only was going to be a AAA Esport – so all the player feedback suggesting it wasn’t fun and we should try something else is rubish. Stop wasting everyones time, clearly we (the world) just aren’t ready for the creative genius that exists at arena net.

I for myself enjoyed a little brainless 8v8 zerging from time to time. Like omg dont implement not serious PvP modes because we are super serious, no fun allowed, PvP pros in every freaking match. It also lowered the entrence barrier for newbies because it didnt matter so much if you completly kittened things up in 8v8.

casual players need a casual game mode, so they will not interfere with the serious game modes of the non casual players.

and how would this be “brainless chickens” would you kindly please elaborate more in detail for me?

there can be only up to 4 players per team, versus up to 16 opponents, how would they zerg?

Spawn point positions on existing maps could be an advantage/disadvantage to the different teams.

Also not sure whether 4 per team or should be less – maybe 3 per team? Would be more.burden on individual players, but because you’ve got many players on the map anyway they shouldn’t be focused more than another team.

That could be another problem – ganging up on weaker teams/players and farming them. Not sure how to prevent this when more than two teams – maybe have variable player kill value – for example players in the leading team are worth more points when killed compared to players in the last team. This should encourage other teams to kill the leading team players for more points.
This should be variable – so every time a team changes position in the scoreboard their player kill value increased or decreases accordingly. The higher your score, the more you’re worth essentially.

This allows all players to keep playing till the end of the match (no downtime or waiting), but should prevent cheap tactics.

That’s all I can think of off the top of my head at the moment, will add more if I think of it.
