Would going back to 8v8’s as the standard option be more enjoyable than 5v5?

Should really be 9v9 now due to addition of rev (assuming idea of enough slots for one per class). But yeah, would be fun.

Nah I don’t enjoy zergfests & 10m queues.

I wouldn’t mind 9v9’s or 10v10’s, either. It’s just that we’ve tried 5v5’s for a while to compete with the e-sports, and they’re so boring.

I didn’t mean 8v8’s for queues/tournaments…but rather, the standard “play now” button in the server menu for non-ranked games, like they used to be.

He’s talking about 8v8 being as in the old GW team format. That was only possible because it revolved around the holy trinity, gw2 doesn’t have that which is why it’s only 5v5.

The “Holy Trinity” was tried with the Ele buffs on auramancer. It worked well but the crying could be heard all the way in Abu Dhabi.

A similar outcry in WvW looks to be setting up for a crush nerf to Mesmer.

For Abu Dhabi players, Abu Dhabi isnt far away. At all.

Also what do you have against Abu Dhabi players? You seem to be singling them out as particularly tearful players. Which I also find deep irony in.

If larger team sized game modes were added, they will definitely need to scale down damage.

The new capricorn would be a great map for 8v8s.

8v8 would be good, but would need more points to spread the fight – give us a fort aspenwood
