um, so builds that ordinarily would get some vit from traits or amulets will no longer be getting it. but they buffed everyone’s damage to a huge extent. one example is the condi bunker ranger getting about 2k HP from Nature Magic; zerker ammy giving a bunch of HP to glass builds, all cele builds will have less vit, etc.

on top of this, condi builds will be doing insane damage. so yeah, everyone just blows up basically?

This is why I’ve always hated the amulet system. Yes, I realize it’s “simpler”, but I want to be able to have an individual six pieces I can slot. Newer/casual/uncaring players can always use the single amulet system, I just want an option for tweaking.

To be fair, we’ll still need to let the changes settle in as these things take some time before they become a “meta”, but I know there’s various PvE/WvW build I have that will be getting some gear stats changes to account for the loss from trait lines, I just want to be able to do that in PvP as well.

All the stat changes do is hurt the low hp/low armor classes with no innate defenses who relied on the ability to gain stats from build trees. So basically the classes okay with the change will be:
War (HP/Armor default max)
Eng (lets not kid ourselves)
Theif (Stealth, many dodge mechanics)
Mesmer (Illusions, Kitting, stealth)

Classes that will be Meh with the change:
Necro (High Vit + Death shroud)
Ranger (Do you even need stats to hit 2? Seriously though they aren’t in a bad place but they wont really gain from the extra stats as the other classes)

Classes that will be permanently forced into non power builds
Ele (worst hp and armor, no stealth, readily available daze or blinds or active defense other than investing 1-2 trait lines in keeping protection, regen, and vigor up. Hello still always arcane/water cele ele you wont be going anywhere, sorry basically every other build except maybe some new condi)

Please skill/trait split and give control to the PvP team. Karl is fucking killing us

I just feel everyone will get nuked by condis (mostly engies and rangers), with less vit to go around.

Marauders replaces berserker gear for vitality.
So you don’t lose it all.

i dont get you. shout guard is the one getting screwed. they are dead. Before they got vit through honor. now they have 11,6k hp
other guard builds are fine vita wise. The old berserk amu is the new marauder(Marauder: 1050 pow, 1050 pre, 560 vit, 560 fero).
So guard builds that will lose bc of the stats change are only the one using honor line
