It’s bad.
Necromancers are now incredibly overpowered with their increased fear access, and their burn. Thieves have become overpowered due to their spammable Deathblossom and many escapes. Mesmers have also become far more overpowered than they previously were.
wow i saw mesmers get a huge nerf to there phantasms.
thieves, have 3 things going for tem, blind with D/P cuz of the blind change
30 points in trickery for 21 SEC steal CD with a great amount of boonage
and double dagger deathblossom builds were buffed slightly as they can easily go 30 points in trickery and deathblossom ini was reduced
this imo makes for some buffs to spvp and roaming (when shown in a vacuum, we will see when in comparison to everyone else)
now the bad, thieves shortbow reduced to 900. this means that a thief is USELESS in a WvW siege/defense. they are exclusively roamers now.
necromancers have been the laughing stock of this game, id wait and see how it develops more, at the moment, its predominantly because people dont know how to deal with them.

I really like the Warrior’s Riposte change. While I haven’t tested it out, on paper it looks very good.
The Dolyak Signet change is quite nice, although I wish they could have added a break stun to Signet of Stamina as well. Signet of Stamina is a much more attractive skill imo, given the state of conditions.
Berserker Stance change looks very nice on paper. I have been asking for something like this.
Furious Speed, a previously absolutely useless trait turned into an amazing trait. No longer to do I have to use warhorn in the offhand!
Warrior’s Sprint, YESS!!!!!!!!
While I didn’t fully read all of the other class changes I did notice the Blurred Frenzy nerf which I’m satisfied with.

Necros are kind of funny right now. Got feared for 13k damage earlier today. Apparently torment + poison + bleed (+ burning?) isn’t enough, so fear should do 50-100% of someone’s hp. Want to counter with stability? Don’t worry, focus #5 (or corrupt boon or well of corruption) strips your stability so you get chain feared to death. Got a stun breaker? Don’t worry, necro has 3 fears to use on you
Necros needed some love for sure, but I’m starting to wonder about these changes

More survivable, and the interrupt builds are starting to show, and get very very annoying.
Plus, I’ve been seeing confusion/torment Necro teams. Fears, Stuns, Confusion, Torment. Most terrifying combination ever.

i have little info for necros, but id definitly say give it at least 2 weeks to a mont for any change to be gauged remotely accurately.
many things can be considered OP by some class/person are easy to get around by another class/person.
its why thieves get so much complaints for a long time but still sucked in organized group play.
for mesmer, id take inerrupt build over many things they used to be able to do.
kiting is annoying, being unable to kite is annoying, condition damage is annoying, removing my conditions is annoying, etc.

I may, at this point, finally give up trying to play warrior. It was one thing being the underdog, but now… I mean seriously, how can you possibly justify nerfing the worst PvP profession? Don’t give me the PvE argument, PvE warriors are basically unaffected as they didn’t have to slot any type of utility (mobile strikes, leg specialist) anyways.

You have no clue what you’re talking about. Interrupt build so far is absolutely terrible since most casts are .75sec or less that it becomes impossible and almost complete RNG to be able to interrupt your targets casts. All for an immobilize and measly interrupt damage. Go take a look at mesmer forums about how everything is completely broken and how much anet hate is going around because no spec is viable competitively anymore besides shatter.

Except axe warrior DPS wasn’t over the top before, could have been good this patch.. maybe a tad strong but nothing warranting putting such an excess of damage into the last hit.
Also Warrior’s Spring doesn’t stack with swiftness, something warriors could keep up for the majority of a fight due to signet of rage. It’s great when you’re stripped yes, but it’s not as huge as you make it out to be.
Trimming that much dps into the last hit was way over kill. The idea is nice, reward warriors for sticking to a target, it just was over the top is all.
Contrary to these boards, most of the experiences in game (from who I’ve chatted with) have been very positive so far, lots of new options to explore, and most seem counterable. Have not seen anything thusfar that felt OP, but it’s young days still.
Overall, the best patch so far for me since Launch.
Necro a lot stronger, but lets be honest it was needed.
Mesmer brought in line with other classes.
Warrior better.
Other then that everything else feels the same, but it hasn’t even been one day yet! So just give it some time, and you’ll see the next big builds etc.

I think it was a logical step.
Mobility was never really an issue for warriors outside of movement impairing conditions. Our ability to stay on target is actually, if I had to guess now, worse with the leg specialist and cripple duration nerfs, not to mention how clunky sword is now.

well i noticed that my warrior is dying a whole lot faster and more often now.
played 3 rounds of sPvP for the PvP Dailies.
extremely fast dying rate compared to pre patch.
before patch, i can play my warrior in sPvP (non tourny) a whole round without dying and scoring lots of kills. now, i die in seconds. to conditions.
cannot cleanse them fast enough.
rabid amulet, soldiers rune.

not sure about the deep strike thing though. but if you cannot see the changes in the numbers then it is probably bugged i guess.

Keep in mind that lots of professions received buffs to their condition builds in some way, or for a few, new conditions to try out altogether, so if you’re in hotjoin, be ready for that, there are going to be a lot of condition builds around for a while again, trying out Torment and other little things professions have been tweaked with on condition damage.
This doesn’t mean conditions are suddenly rampant, it just means they will be popular again for a while.

Don’t fool yourself. Necro needed fixes, not a buff so massive every time I spawn it’s like a WMD detector went off in the whitehouse. I swear, the universe isn’t expanding, it’s just running away from my spectral wall.
Well, necs are still a punching bag, in case anyone forgot that.
Besides, condi necs cannot trait for burning anyway, but the addition of torment and the buff to spectral wall are quite nice overall.

My kitten they can’t, 30/30/10/0/0 with Rabid Amulet. We’re overpowered.
Hm, I’m a big fan of high sr, so I haven’t tried that setup yet…Not quite sure if I wanna kick the lower skill recharge in DS, and lf generation on marks, goodbye though.

new thief feels really strong, haven’t tried terror necro. But basically you just go 10/30/0/0/30 on thief and take that 20s steal and you can stay in fights a lot longer with mug. Shadow trap is buggy, but if they fix that it will be very strong too (return only usable when you destroy the trap yourself, bugs out if someone triggers) -thiefs might even outclass mesmer for backpoint if that’s fixed. The change to blind is realllllyyy strong too, just pistol 5 and /dance cas you pretty much invuln as long as it’s up lol.
In other news, I just jumped on my necro and swaped out one of the traits for terror (with khalifa d/d power build) and solo’d svanir and chieftan at the same time in the mists lolol.
