I like the new match accept button. I’m glad it’s here.

Today, I logged on to try to play some ranked games, but I was stuck in queue for about ten minutes. Every time, 9 people would accept the match, and one person would not. I thought it was weird that one person went afk every minute. So, I tried not hitting accept and waiting for the timeout.

It didn’t kick me from the queue. The 9 people waiting for the game to start for 10 minutes had been blocked by one person not hitting accept. I understand waiting for one or two rounds for them to get ready, but this was going on for about ten minutes. I don’t know if they were afk or just trolling around.

I tried leave that queue and see if I could join a different one. But when I rejoined queue, I was in the same situation with 9 people hitting accept and one person failing to do so. In the end it looked like it wasn’t possible for me to get into a game, so I stopped trying.

I think it would be better if people who don’t hit accept are removed from queue so that the other players can have a chance to get into game.

Honestly I understand its frustrating. However once dishonor is turned on (Im pretty sure it hasnt been turned on yet?) That will all but vanish.

Namely due to the fact that people that do that wont be able to que again for awhile.

So itl actually be impossible for someone to repeatedly cause 9/10 afk resets more than once in a given time period. And as the dishonor stacks up that time period will be longer and longer.

Id guess its actually some kitten doing it on purpose not afking. Not every time. but enough of the time. Once the dishonor system is up and if it works as advertised that should lessen to an extremely small amount.

EDIT: Keep in mind that these are the situations that you would have ended up in a 4v5 in the match. The system actually does a good job of mitigating that as you cant cause a 4v5 by being afk. Now its actually due to KNOWINGLY causing a 4v5 or dcing. Both of which will also be mitigated by the dishonor system.

There is absolutely no reason not to “kick” people from the queue if they fail to press “ready”.

Especially given how fast queue times are, at least at the moment.

20sec is fast? than after all people accepting the match-up having to wait 1 minute inside? Why is there a ready button if you have to wait another minute…. You go to toilet/for water, or whatever and you are afk at beginning. What problem did that solve…

Yes, 20 seconds is fast, if you are unable to stay at the vicinity of your computer for that period, or if you fail to hear the new sound “alarm” (which admittedly could be louder), you should be booted from the queue. Otherwise you’ll just carry on ruining the queue for others.

When signing up for a Multiplayer environment the enjoyment of all people in the environment depends on the people around them. Thats how multiplayer works.

If one person decides to que for a player vs player match at that moment its no longer about one person. There are NINE other people whos enjoyment of the game depends on that tenth.

If you cant handle that. Then you shouldn’t play multiplayer games. Becuase otherwise, Everytime someone chooses to let there boredom take over while there in a que and they wonder off somewhere or whenever someone ques and “just doesn’t feel like it” when the que pops, they are damaging the quality of gameplay for the other nine.

Dont PvP if you can’t handle what that involves. Dont que if your not ready to play.

I agree. The “short” wait time x 9 = no longer such an acceptable amount of other people’s time you just wasted.

It just annoys me because this would apparently lesson the 4 vs 5 scenario. this has happened to me twice already. It really is getting annoying.

This is really annoying. 20+ queue pops with no match this morning because one player was Afk.

Popup was constant and annoying. I understand and appreciate trying to find a solution to ridding afk’s and if it’s at all possible to kick them from que for at least a certain time period…. I.e. If u don’t accept then blocked from que for 30mins.
