Guild Wars 2

So, I’ve made it to 80, almost done world exploration, I’m fiddling around in WvW, finding jump puzzles, and other such things to occupy my time in-game. One area that I haven’t explored at all (except the “tutorial” area) is PvP – though I think I’d like to give it a try. I’ve been trying to find something online for a Noob Guide to PvP, but my searches usually come up explaining things in PvP terminology that I just don’t follow. I don’t come from PvP in other games, so some of the stuff being said is just making me more confused than I was to begin with. I find the tutorial area not very helpful, and to be honest, I did it like 2 months ago just to see the area and try out this PvP locker thing, and so I don’t really remember the points they tried to ‘teach’ me anyways. Does anyone have a good suggestion on some reading material for those of us who have NO idea about PvP? Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Other than that, if you have any specific questions you should post them.
All you really need to know is:

how to win the game

• there are 2 teams
• there are capture nodes
• you capture a node by standing on it (look top right of screen when capping)
• more than 1 player on a node doesn’t make it cap faster
• each captured node gives the team a point every few seconds
• first team to 500 points wins

how to “level up” in pvp

• you gain glory for doing various things like capping a node, killing someone, using trebuchet, etc
• this contributes to your rank
• the higher your rank, the better rewards are available to you
• all rewards are cosmetic (they look cool) and have no effect on your stats
