Thats some great input. But im missing the reason for these random suggested nerfs. perhaps you think mesmers have too many ways to produce clones? maybe mesmers are hard to track down?

Mesmer isn’t even in the current PvP meta, so absolutely not.

Hahah usually mesmer doesn’t even have cond removal (in order to have enough dmg to kill someone) and just dies if gets hit by too many conditions… And you want to nerf distortion which is an active defense?

On top of this 50% weaker heal when mesmer sustain is already bad (again if you want to deal dmg).

This must be a troll post or OP is someone completely new to pvp (and if so shouldn’t be talking about balance)

Mesmer can obtain different ways to clean conditions. first of all the skill that send 3 conditions to the enemy and steal 3 boons. It’s a powerfull skill.
Then, a mesmer that let the enemy track he easy isn’t a good mesmer. In spvp the Mesmer actually IS in the current Meta.
A good mesmer don’t need to defend so much, he can just deal 15-18k of damage in 5 sec easy with shatter and GS. Not so hard.
And Mesmer have already a large amount of active defence. Clones is already an active defence, stealth, skills that clean conditions (the one mentioned before and the mantra), the skill 2 of the sword that give Blur, Distortion, Moa form.

Mesmer isn’t really weak as you say. Expecially not compared with the damage output that a mesmer can do!

Every mesmer needs to run with decoy, blink and portal (when you play ip shatter) to be competetive. You dont really have any condi remove unless you drop one of those skills which are necessary.
