Yes, they should.
I can’t count how many times someone gets the kill even though they were defeated and teleported back to base, the NPC didn’t have DPS conditions on, everyone else was accounted for in the map, and I was the only one who could have dealt the last hit, took more than 90% of the creature’s health, yet the enemy somehow still got the kill.
If they can’t fix who gets the kill, at least make it so whoever Finishes the creature first gets the kill.

And it’ll be the same with daredevil’s elite finisher anyway. General rule is if you see mesmer or thief you don’t engage the beast.
I think we have enough trouble with guarantee stomps everywhere to make this suggestion terrible. That’s one less reason to bring a glass power spec…

150 divided by 25…6 beasts a full game if game reaches that far…basic math…This is why anet devs don’t take us seriously

That’s 6 chances for teams to steal or for a team to recover from losing match, I’d say that makes the game dynamic and far from “randomly” rewarded.

Then it would just be more random based on who’s stomp actually finished the beast. Right now it’s generally pretty clear to the person who got the kill how they got it. With two teams trying to stomp I doubt anyone would be certain.
I really do not support this idea. It Is great how it is and feels really rewarding to steal a boss kill right at the end with a perfectly timed burst (best with thief or revenant) and to, for example, land an awesome surge of the mists to steal a boss only for an enemy engi to stomp it with his function gyro would make moments like that, especially in pro league, much less exciting. One example I can think of off the top of my head is in the season 2 finals, rank 55 vs. Astral on forest, right at the end of the game when phantaram got a kill on svanir literally 1 second before zan reached the boss to try to steal the kill, winning the game for astral. Would this have been as exciting if zan could have just safe stomped the boss with function gyro? Absolutely not. The bosses should be left as they are.
Also, the 150 points are not given out ‘randomly’ at all. Well, maybe they are if both players have used all their cooldowns with the boss at high health, but then if they had done that it really is their own fault if they lose the boss kill. What you have to do to make sure you take a boss kill is cast a low cast time burst skill with the boss on about 5% health (SotM, backstab, rapid fire + quickness, warrior GS primal burst, many others). The way boss kills work now is much more skill based than it would be if they were given a downstate and that is the way it should stay in my opinion.

OP made similar post before but hes complaining about the lord in foefire giving 150 points. he also made a thread about how OP Dragon hunters are during S3, while saying Scrapper needs buff because it dies easily now he’s mad about forest beast giving points. since he mention 150 points, my guess is the opponent keeps killing npc the whole game and he lose the match. i guess the only match hes gonna enjoy is khylo. because soon he will make a post how temple stillness and traq needs to go away.
