No SotG this month?
I for one, would be very disappointed if they didn’t have even like a short one, maybe not 1 hour maybe just 45minutes..
Im guessing they’re busy with PAX ESHPATZ though :/
give us sotg naow!
From what I understand, SotG in its previous incarnation is not going to be coming back as Grouch, the host, sold us out and is now working for the enemy.
In order to fill this void, GuildWars2 PvP TV will be hosting a similar “State of the Game”-like program in the very near future, tentatively called “State of the Mists.”

Thank you based reikou.
Can you give us any idea what the “very near future” entails? SotG was always something very interesting to watch because of the insight into the developers ideas for the game. Are you going to have dev input to the show?
really bad engineer

Really sad news
Will you invite devs at the state of the mists?
Sotg were useless, the players that were invited asked questions and anet talk about other stuff, saying we cant talk about it/soon/meeting/working on it, and it ended up in every1 nodding with each other and laughing.
I mean the most important change that they did wich was the quickness nerf, they never talked about it instead they said “we going to make banners stronger”.
Please dont bring them back, it was a huge waste of time for anet/players invited and the viewers aswel.

Seriously, I read OP and was thinking ‘This is the GW2 SoTG he is talking about, right???’
Are people in a state of nostalgia already or am I missing something?
Do people really feel that the devs reading out patch notes, most guests acting completely self-serving and focusing only on their own class and spec and the future patch notes, while any good questions, a question not focused on the goals of the patch notes, a question actually addressing the state and future of the game, being forbidden, something Anet cant talk about.
Did that really help people?
I’m kind of lost, I always thought people were hating on the SoTG for being utterly useless, I mean about as useless as a king having a public audience to tell people that the hurricane’s not gonna hurt them…

ANY amount of discussion is good. Saying this doesn’t contribute to good patches is exactly as stupid as their frequently-used claim that “we could be reading and responding to the forums, but we’d rather just do our jobs.”
Unfortunately I am not currently heavily involved in the “State of the Mists” project and do not know very many details about how exactly it is going to pan out.
I have linked this thread to someone who is more involved with it, and hopefully they can come and give some clearer answers in the next few hours.

This is a constant talking point between Hegemony and myself, we are looking much more into it as PAX comes closer and the guild wars 2 viewership grows. We think the community has responded extremely well to our stream channel and feel as if you guys would support us in our next step of having a monthly show. Expect more information on this in the near future. Again, thank you for your ongoing support, I look forward to seeing you in stream chat soon:)

Cheers to Grouch for putting in all the effort of organizing the SOTGs in the past! It really helped construct a positive relationship between the developers and the community.
I hope they continue in a different form, though, feel like the game needs it now more than ever.
Top 100 Solo Q for a full minute
SOTG did a nice job as a hypezports show, it was also the best trolling show ever, with devs talking about things and then doing another thing in the patches next week.
If u can do the same, i will probably watch it, and then laugh at the patch notes .
