No class stacking? Yes or No?
i will not sacrifice fun & que times
anet can find ballance another way. they were close before HoT, they just need to start shaving. like, attack a revenant with a cheese grater.

If other classes are needed it will be more fun and there will be more players which means less que time. Not to mention if u play more than one class, you can find a match even faster. PvP that revolves around 3 meta classes won’t be very popular.

Class stacking is not the issue. Class and build balance is. Gw2 is designed around build diversity within each class. There is absolutely nothing similar between a bunker chrono and a shatter mesmer, why would we prevent them from playing together?
I think that the problem is primarily just a damage < tankiness issue.
A full glass player versus a fully specced bunker should be a fair fight, but currently the bunker can just live through all of it, and the allies can arrive and gank the warrior
I just had 3 games in row with 3 guards in my team.
And one awesome game against 2 eles and 2 mesmers.
Today was a fun day.
I would give it a slight twist…
No class stacking in Party Queue!
Solo Q: Fine come along with whatever you want! The system is going to match you with anything…
But if you Duo or more : One profession = one player… That’s it!
Prof-Stacking can still happen but not “organised-stacks”!
If somebody gets into the queue with one ore more team members they MUST choose different professions.
Obviously this means no prof-stacking in ESL-Premades either…
EDIT: and this would be THE point ANET could start doing the real balancing things….
EDIT2: sorry for the capital letters….
EDIT3: and I would do the same with the ammulettes and runes as well. One group may only choose one ammy and rune only once. There would still be some OP combinations in party queue but the players had to be wise how to distribute the ammy-rune possibilities…

This.
If you have two or more of the same CLASS in a comp, it’s not a problem, unless each one of that same class is performing a different role better than all other classes, in which case it’s a balance issue, and other classes capable of performing that role need to be buffed so that it becomes a difficult choice between the options, and each are viable in the right comp.
If you have two or more of the same BUILD in a comp, it’s a problem, and that problem is also the result of a balance issue in which either two of that same class running the same build are better together than two different classes – i.e. one class complements itself better than a different class – and fixing that issue would either bring other classes and builds of that role into the meta or if the difference in synergy is significant enough, bring in a different role and therefore potentially a different strategy.
