Ive read a article that said : “Leaderboards however will not arrive with the February content patch, but will be rolled out in stages as part of their own update.”
also “Not all players will be able to get recorded on the leaderboards to start out. “We’re going to be rolling out in stages, so we’ll roll them out with a small number of people first–maybe the top 100 players will be on the leaderboard when we first roll it out–and we’re going to make sure that it’s really stable and functional, and then we’re going to keep adding to that and expanding on them going forward,” adds Johanson.”

Im confused,are we or not getting matchmaking system?

The first stage of this is posting the top 100 by QP to the forums. This is already “done”

I don’t see how a post on the forums (which isn’t updated every day) has to be checked for stability and functionality. In fact it sounds like more work to not automate it.

As for the “expanding and going forward”, nobody outside of Anet really knows what we are getting tomorrow. My hope is a larger, in game leaderboard (top 1000 maybe?) even if it’s just QPs and not MMR. Some of sort rating that wasn’t a counting stat would be nice, even if it was invisible (although it helps a lot more if we can actually see it).

However, no matchmaking system can do a good job unless it has enough teams to work with. Thus I think the most important aspect of better matchmaking is more teams, especially “middle” skill teams. This requires more PvE players to try sPvP, and those who do try to stick with it for at least a little while.

We’ll get Team Rating, with teams facing other teams of similar skill level and, if/ whenever possible, it will match premades with premades, randoms with randoms, and anything inbetween.

And probably more balance changes.

I didn’t even know we were getting leaderboards.

I’m glad we’re actually getting them, but are these MMR leaderboards or pointless QP leaderboards?

• Rating
• Balance Patch
• New Map
• Leaderboards (at some point soon after the patch in incremental steps)
• Stuff (stuff)

And I still have no idea if solo-q is in this or later patch, so I said stuff.

I heard maps were easy to design and implement. So what did the PvP team exactly do for this update? Hold meetings for balance and that’s it? ;O

Honestly, the PvP update is a lie. Guild missions etc. are also going to be added and easily overshadow the spvp updates. Maybe feb and march together will add the needed additions. I know plenty of people are willing to stay a bit longer because of the new map so…

But please… hurry!

The worst part of it is we all got the news from a site that is not GW2.

i really hope they will finnaly add a ladder with this patch
i mean srsly otherwise we get nothing except a map that doesn’t take much ressources according to anet
we already got matchmaking can’t be so hard to make a ladder out of it
