Yeah, have a look at your match history. I thought it happened to me the other day, then I realised I’d clicked unranked.
But with that said, this was a bug that popped up last season, I got hit by it quite a few times, I think 5-6 times in total. ANet can not and will not give you the missing pip(s). So it’s a suck it up and carry on situation unfortunately.

Happened to me aswell… misclicked the ranked and got an unranked game. I was getting a weird feeling that the game was not going as a propper ranked game.
