Sounds like a bug to me.
Ive noticed this a lot, those who decap and prevent cap, might end up with minimal points, even if it was their effort that kept the other team from getting any points. But this is a hard thing to give value to.
Does a person get 10 points for every 30s of standing in an uncapped point while in combat?
Not really a bug either, the way it’s set up, you get points for doing certain things, in this situation, there’s cap and decap, maybe kills, but if he’s alone and bunkering, he likely wont get a kill. He already decaps once, and enemies will come and go to try to move him, but he’s not capping, he’s not decapping, and he’s not killing, he’s just surviving.
And as far as the pip, you probably need a minimum number of points to get a pip:( (or else an afk might get a pip if their team still wins) And yes, if someone was watching or paying attention to the fight, they could say “yes he deserves a pip” but there is no such person, just programming:(

The scoring in this game has never accurately reflected how you actually play the game.
I wish they’d open their eyes to that fact.

Question is: How does the system tell the difference between a bunker sitting doing w/e on home, and a griefer/troll/farmer sitting idle in spawn?
In this justice system, the innocent get punished with the guilty! No exceptions!
There is a huge difference between standing on/near a point and standing in the spawn. Most obviously the player’s location.
The bigger issue is: you cannot win the game without holding points. It is integral to the game play, so why isn’t that contribution reflected in the personal score?
Don’t even get me started on the value of secondary mechanics.
This is not new either. This has been discussed since release.
