Mace used to be the main weapon of Guardian Bunkers which used to be a thing before they decided to give everyone ridiculous sustain thats why its healing power.
Bunker guard were not replaced by better bunkers (tempest or chrono), it got destroyed by condis and CC. Because a bunker guard plays with clerics, it has 13k health and cannot afford to be CC-locked or condi bombed.

Completely agreed.
But the mace trait, when fully healing power up was giving insane AOE heals. 2k+ / dodge. Now… well, with sigil of energy nerfed, bunker guard is completely dead (at least to heals team —→ tempest, druids, scrapper better).
The only thing that could help the build, would had been Rune of Mercy (since every meta build can clear his condi now) to rez up… but well… they kill that too.
Bunker is a thing of the past. Now, it will be Power or Condi.
HoT specialization destroyed build diversities. Now HoT balanced patch, destroyed a role/archetype of the game type.
Prediction for the next few years:
SPVP will be shooter like. (conditions build will get removed because of QQ) Type one button and aim correctly to kill your opponent. GGWP.

So if any of you got the direction my mindset was going:
The idea was to convert Mace spec to be modern and therefore viable again by basically doing a few things:
-Remove ALL Healing Capacities from Mace Spec (healing is old and outdated and needs to be replaced)
-Invigorated Bulwark → Grants Power instead of Healing (no healing, more offense)
-Faithful Strike → Remove Healing, Add a Counter Block (no healing, slight more avoidance)
-Symbol of Faith → Remove Healing, Add Condition Removal (no healing, team condition support)
-Protector’s Strike → Self Swiftness to add mobility.
These things would give Mace Spec Viability in Today’s meta.

You could look into shattered aegis builds. However fragments of faith gives you the greatest DPS AOE so you would still need DH however you would only run one trap. Conversely you could go back to medi/burn guard since power/condi/tough/vit is now a thing.
Some people still want healing guardian to be a thing in other gamemodes, even if other classes do it better (myself included). Mace is a healing support weapon by design, not somuch a power dps. If the devs separated the way it works between pvp and other modes, maybe. Otherwise it’s a terrible idea that further forces guardians away from “guarding”.

Our deficiencies may be overcome by practice and self-discipline.
I just wanted bunker buffs. Was that too much to ask for? Once I reached diamond last season I quit cause without bunker guard my self identity is gone and I have no fun. Another 3 months. Lost again. Nothing compares to the disappointment I feel. I hope the new games coming out will console my protector spirit.

Can we all agree that at the very least all Non-Dragonhunter builds to whatever end they may serve need some serious attention?
We have 3 trait lines they are hardly useful at all.
Zeal, Radiance, and Virtues need some serious rework.
