Oceanic Paid Tourneys
There never where any oceanic teams, it was just the american teams playing late night to get as much play time as possible.
There were alot of oceanics, people lose interest.
GW2 has higher ping then other online games also. Which might contribute to oceanics not playing.

Again I post;
Paid tournaments are pretty much dead upon arrival for the prime time of the Asia/Oceanic time zone of GMT+7-11 (give or take.)
My group and I queued for a good 1 hour without any matchups, and thus just decided to go for free tournaments instead.
I’ve asked around and the general consensus is that “there is no one queueing for paid tournaments” at these times.
As such, I thought I would make this post on the official forums to see if there are any other groups that are interested in doing paid tournaments during the Asian/Oceanic prime time. If so, please post here. Perhaps if there are 8 or more groups that are active during this time zone, we can try to arrange a tournament.

you queued for an hour and then gave up. unfortunately the other groups probably did the same, at a different time, on a different day.
sadly in low population situations, always-on automated matching doesn’t work very well. greater organization is required. like what you’re trying to do in this thread I guess.
anet could help by allowing people to queue whilst playing other pvp or pve modes, which would allow people to queue all night and hopefully build up the critical mass needed to get tournaments rolling.
You can que and do spvp, for free tourneys at least

we queued for hourS on a few occasions with nothing.
I’m asking for a simple roll call of groups that would be willing to do paid tournaments in asia/oceanic time zone. If we can get at least 8 together, perhaps we can arrange tournaments to make sure we get paid pops instead of waiting for hours for nothing.

that’s sounds like a good idea.
sounds like a good idea, but no one has yet to step up and provide me with a name to contact, or a name of a guild etc.

I know i would being doing tpvp during oceanic time if it werent for my lag after 7pm that i get only with gw2.
anet blames isp, isp blames anet.
Wouldnt be surprised if other australians had similar problems.
We normally play Sydney time starting around 10pm til 2am and try to que for paid tournaments but they never pop. Its a shame because we enjoy playing GW2 but are not able to recieve the full service that it offers, namely paid tournaments.
You can contact me in game to set up paid tournament ques. There are atleast 6-7 organised groups playing at our times i see queing in the free tournaments.
Edit: 10pm Sydney time is 3am PST, which is when our full team is on.

I can confirm this. Been playing PvP a lot lately when I get home around 6pm (gmt +10). Sometime after 7pm (edit: closer to 7:15, almost exactly), lag hits the fan
