Currently there are no paid tournament games active during Oceanic peak times. For many Oceanic players who have played since day one farming hotjoins and free tournaments, the only natural progression is to play the paid tournaments. Without the paid tournaments there is little reason to play more hotjoins or free tournaments, as there is no form of competitive play or any ranking system as we can not gain qualifying points when there are no paid tournaments playing.

What is Anets stance on this problem for oceanic players? I thought with the new patch they would lower the entry fee to entice more players to be active in the paid tournament scene. 5 tickets per player seems a little high in the current situation. Ideally, paid tournament should be active all throughout the day instead of a small window during US peak times.

Without competitive play, many of us Oceanic players will return to other games with a solid competitive system.

Its the same issue for everyone tbh. Queues are only available for the west coast :P
