Odd builds
My mesmer shattering build is my guilty pleasure. I dig you down to 60-70% hp and then go for a 11-13k combo, stealth and down. The whole time, they struggle to get damage off on me let alone… find me.
Fighting thieves and rangers are my best fights because we can all smack out insane damage in a very low time frame but we can all be squished instantly if not ready to slip out of a situation, so its back an forth! I love when a thief goes stealth then a combo the space around me revealing him in the down position only for me to stealth and finish him. I get shivers thinking about it!

Can swap Longbow for Hammer & Sword for Mace if you want. I prefer to just stick with the sword/shield combo most of the time though because final thrust still hits hard, it’s less sustain than shoutbow, but still effective.
Definitely not a ‘meta’ build, but it’s very fun to play, or at least i think so, requires a few braincells to do well on as you need to land the interrupts for some pressure.

Hambow.
People think hambow is bad now, and shoutbow is the king. However, hambow is very effective now, especially against zerker/squishy team. They just don’t have enough stun break to avoid the number of CC I can put out.
Already quit PvP. Just log in here and there to troll.
Forgot to add you can take one out of Discipline and one out of Defense and go for 2 in Tactics for Leg Specialist, really just boils down to preference.
Very aggressive Josh
Cheers, definitely an offensive build, the more you lean on the defensive side, the more chance you have in losing the fight I feel, it hasn’t got the sustainability of a shoutbow or medi guardian to outlast most builds, but it can put out an insane amount of pressure fast if the opponent isn’t careful of the confusion stacks, and against classes with little to no stability, it’s a beast, especially so if you have a hammer/mace equipped.

25% HP Engi (0/0/4/6/4, Elixir S & Static Dischage), S/A & GS War (0/4/6/0/4, mobility traits & Bull’s Charge), Lightning Rod + Stone Heart S/D Ele with Earth Shield, D/P & P/P Thief,… The current “Meta” is more a trend that a very in depth reflexion on builds tbh.
Pls tell more about 25% HP Engi.
Also P/P venom Thief is dope.
Engi = solo monk. I like it, very difficult class to play and very challenging to face. I like
Good Engis are pretty fun to play against that’s true. I’m glad they’re more about kits these days than turrets/decaf.

Heal and tool belt recharge on 25% HP, all you have to do is burst with static discharge or rifle and disengage with one of the many options the build offers (stealth, invulns, etc + swiftness and exploting environment)
I play P/P with critical strikes SR and thieves guild, death from 900 units.
I play earth version of d/d on my ele with signets. I like it more than the meta play style wise.
s/p d/d thief…. i forgot to switch weapons from dungeon runs… won all matches so far with that O_o s/p cleave is real
[Teef] guild :>
I play mostly a cleric’s Beastmaster ranger. I tank while the pet chips away at the opponent’s HP with 25 might stacks. Lots of chill and cripple to keep the enemy in place. It’s pretty effective, and at the very least it takes a long time for most celestial builds to kill me. Meanwhile most zerker builds lose through my superior sustain and the pet’s critical damage. Thieves and mesmers especially.
It’s really nice because most players still treat me like a longbow ranger. Focusing me over other, squishier targets because they aren’t use to tanky rangers or trying to use line of sight to avoid a rapid fire that never comes because I don’t even have a longbow equipped. It’s pretty funny to be honest.
Celestial might stacking, regen, support ranger.

It was strong before the might nerf but still the best ranger build for me.
Space Marine Z [GLTY]
Might stacking necro? reapers might, runes and sigils of strength. Blood is power for instant 10 stacks of might, I use barbarian amulet for DS uptime. In any given fight i’m runnng with no less than 12-15 stacks. Life transfer in mid zergfests= 25 stacks of might
FeelsBadMan
where to begin! i don’t play any meta builds
War:
sword/sword condi shouts, hammerzerker, axe/axe blender
over all lots of five signet builds!
ele:
fire staff zerker, condi ele!
engi:
S/D
Necro:
power/wellomancer, deep in blood tree (sometimes good ole’ MM)
thief:
p/p unload zerker
i’f i’m really bored i have a PERMA INVIS build i use that just uses bleeds from caltrops and dodge rolls lol, can get quite high stacks of bleeding while remaining 100% invisible forever, its mostly just a build for trolling.
mesmer:
phantasm zerker using traited focus
ranger:
longbow/traps hybrid
(hits a little less direct damage than straight up longbow zerker, but the extra burning, bleed, poison, cripple and immobilize make up for it :P)

Celestial might stacking, regen, support ranger.

That is really close to what I’m running. I just sacrificed some of the might stacks for extra bleeds and I rely on my axe for the might stacking. I run a lot less pure condi builds than I used to so at the moment regen feels a lot stronger than SotF.

Elixir X spamming engi, essentially you can use Elixir X at any fight because of its redic short CD and with a bit of practice even if you dont get the transform you want (looking at you tornado) you can still do some pritty effective stuff, aside from the time i got tornado 12 times in a row if found it to be an amazingly fun build to play and stealth rampage openers are team destroyers
Mad King runes everything, but they only work well on a ranger, with a Rampager amulet.
