I can’t decide if DA:I or HoT is my game of the year.
Dragon Age was am incredible journey & so much fun. i loved the combat, the story & the art. i loved & lived that world for a few months, thedas is a joy to behold.
but Heart of Thorns, or should i say- Scrapper. oh, the way you swing that hammer. oh, the way that thunder claps. can’t get enough of that.

I actually play exclusively with my friends in premades, & train 1v1s all the time so I actually love this game.
seriously make some friends & start queing premades. the game becomes so fun. I joined wvw back when i played more wvw (I almost exclusively pvp now) so i know loads of people on CD. so, I recommend wvw guilds as they are often large & have loads of TS users, plus they give you access to the whole server teamspeak. failing that, you can invite players you see in games, HotM or the forums if you like them. even without TS parting up in a good comp with a plan & good morale is so much better than solo.
approach every loss & failure with an ‘how could i have won’ attitude. don’t be afraid to test new builds & comps. do 1v1 your friends & give feedback. try new builds in hotjoin and 1v1 . it will make you so much stronger players.
seriously, my pal is a mesmer main since beta & when we play together we make portal plays. coordinated portal plays. it’s so fun. come on y’all. be social, it’s an mmo after all.

Yes and you’ve stated numerous times that you only do premades and that it makes the game more fun for you. That’s great for you man. But that doesn’t really help me or anyone else who’s having a horrible time right now.

just play in premades homes
like, just invite a dude you like who you see in a pvp game to your party. even if they were on the opposing team. if you liked their play, invite them to party. it’s that easy.

I am unable to comprehend why you want to play a team game solo. it’s never going to be a very good experience without voice coms. actually, tbh I thought we would see those with leagues as anet partnered with curse. regardless, playing a team game solo is always going to be a shallow experience.

gw2 still seriously needs more gamemodes. 2v2 best of 3 arena would be incredible. as would TDM and CTF.
perhaps the best would be a map with a large amount of layers where everyone but those in your part would be hostile. but that’s more of a wvw sort of thing.
I prefer solo q so I can do what ever I like and play what ever I want with out being forced to play what the meta is.I tried to play with my guild, but all they was intrested in was to play the most effective/least fun and boring stuff. This is why i solo. However this is a risk I take, getting matched up with premade or having class’s stacked on my team. It does blow when I get faced vs premade most of the night but that’s my problem for quing solo.
i find that both solo and premade can be fun. i agree with OP about the attitude and how to get better.

You must not like awesome rpgs then. Otherwise Witcher 3 would be up there. That and Mgs 5 are real contenders for goty for me.
