They have added new maps since launch. But the community took what Anet gave them, pooped on it, and threw it back screaming it wasn’t good enough.

So Anet’s PVP resources have been going into fixing the old new maps in hopes of salvaging the resources it took to make them, thus preventing them from adding any new new maps.

This is an accurate representation of all of pvp.

To be honest, I think they removed more than they added.

They removed the following:
The ship one
Courtyard
Spirit Watch
Sky Hammer

They added:
Well nothing

Does Legacy of the Foefire seem like purgatory to you also?

The only map they removed is Raid on the Capricorn. In the bezinning there was no spirit watch etc. They were added to the game

I don’t think we need more maps leads to more complexity. What needs aren’t being filled by the current maps? I’m assuming conquest of course, stronghold needs more maps.

We need more big maps because the farther nodes are from each other the more a mobility advantage is amplified.

We need more maps but without stupid pve gimmicks (lord on foefire or beats in forest) or ways to score that don’t involve holding points (I.E spirit watch orb). Just give us straight up conquest maps so we can play some pvp not pvp with pve to try and make power plays look cool (temple does the best job, the meditations still revolve around holding points and allow for some really awesome comeback plays but only if you can outplay the other team.)

Why would they make new maps knowing what this games community is like? looking at your desert borderlands, skyhammer
