Hi,

playing thief i experienced that you often get onto players block lists even before the game started or that i wrote anything in the chat.

The sPvP is getting more and more toxic and it stops being fun.

Many call me an idiot for playing thief and worse.

And it feels like Anet is not doing anything to stop that because they don’t want to lose PvP players.

But i won’t stop reporting players that go afk because they dont see a reason in even playing the game with a thief in team for botting or those that call me an idiot and worse for verbal abuse.

And if I play thief and am put into the same team as someone who is playing a meta build, it just means that he is as bad as I am with my thief.

Or i am as good as the with the thief as the meta player is with his easy mode build.

Simple, play in order to show the team that you are good with the class playing …

Thiefs and Warriors to me can be good provided you know play, there are many players playing with elites and not know how to play as a playing with the core.

When you get these players on the opposite team, drop and demonstrate who can play with class.

A ranger of the opposing team even mocked me to use two wyverns, went there and knocked him and ready.

problem is there is enough fingers in one of my hands to count all the good thieves who can have moderate success in this meta.

it’s just a fact that certain classes or builds don’t work in the current meta and if I see a Necro, Thief or War on my team and the other team runs meta, I already say goodbye to a pip in my mind.

Yes, it’s not ideal that not everyone can run their favourite class, but srsly: It’s ranked and ppl should be able to play at least 2 different builds or maybe just learn a build that works in the current meta. It’s IMHO selfish to just insist on playing a certain build just because you like it or you think it works.

While I get annoyed over people queuing as underpowered classes (especially if they switch over to one when one is already in the team) I would never block over it. I reserve my blocks for goldsellers.

What’s wrong with necro? I’ve won a game with three necros on my team (then again I had wins with two warriors so make of that what you will)

I’ve never put a thief on block before. Nor do i know anyone else who has. I used to main thief pre HoT. But switched to better benefit my team and my pips. I miss my thief. But i also know im not toker and i know this meta wrecks thieves. B/c i wreck them all day long.

Right now, it is more effective to play a no-skill required bunker spec. Of course people aren’t going to want a class that actually takes some skill to play.

Its disappointing that classes such as thief and warrior can be allowed to get so bad that this takes place.

Buff is not a dirty word, but the way things are, you would think it was.

Yes, but i have had many games in this meta where people would survive/ kill because they’re running some OP build, but have no idea how to play on capture points and the game ends like in a no sense way

Probably 75% of my loses in this meta are because of players taking really poor decision, although i’m trying to give advices in the chat. Last game from 10 minutes ago : 2 necros camping our close point. Logic says play the other 2 point 5v3 and gg, but pratic shows that, all the game, you get people going 1v2 and dying

I don’t really care what class people are playing tbh. I’ve had wins from 3 thief war + thief … w/e.. In the end it doesn’t matter as much as some other things..

I just hate when I get a team that can’t stay alive more then 2s at a time.

Everyone above voted for specialization change from the old system that actually gave players a choice and diversity. NOW you play what they want you to play or suffer the beat down. They (Anet) will also dictate the play style and strategies based on what classes they choose to overpower or nerf. RIP pvp

It’s so weird. I can wreck face and give everyone aids if I play an offmeta viper or settler reaper build in soloq and everyone loves me. But if I try to bring a a burn dragonhunter or play scrapper against more bunkery teams, everyone on my team blows up at me for being unable to carry and tells me to go to unranked.

So this means that either necro has more viable build diversity than guardian or that I suck at other classes. I’m willing to think the first assumption is true.

What if you queue as a thief because you know matchmaking takes into account class and you switch before the match starts? This would reduce the chances of a thief being in the party since the algorithm picked you out as the thief not taking into account how you could switch.

In my experience q’ing as thief I most often end up with 1-2 more thief on team.

Nothing. 100% of that posts credibility was lost by putting necro in the same sentence as thief and warrior.
