I am pretty new to PVP so this may not be an issue with experienced players. But it is really annoying that after the match is over that people are still trying to kill me.
I want to look at the board, see how many points I got, see what place I ended up in. Mostly to see if i am improving.

I have even congratulated an opponent when I had a really knock out drag out fight and lost. (of course when not tying to be murdered after the event is over LOL)

It happens…. It won’t stop the better you get… People do it all the time.

Lol. I’ve been PvPing since launch and the same thing bothers me.
I just /sit and go grab a drink or something.

No, you dying while the match ends changes nothing.
It is however annoying when people continue to try hard when the match is over.

I think, there was a time, when the kills coutned for the daylies, but I don’t now if this still works.

let them kill you it doesn’t matter nor does it stop you from looking at score etc like you want to.

Sometimes the game ends in the middle of a close 1v1, and you continue battling out in the limited after-match time

Well if you are in the middle of a fight, it’s kinda ok to continue for those 10-30s until the match ends, but random attacks are kinda annoying to tell the trut. I usualy let them kill me but still bugs me why ppl do it

I think they still count, when I kill somebody after a match is only for that +1 on the achievement.

When I’m being attacked I just ignore it and let them kill me, It’s not a big deal.

I stop when the scoreboard comes up. When someone attacks me then, I either ignore it or when I’m on my Necro put up my Deathshroud

Best solution for you is to check your score before the match ends.

If they were to change it now, a mass flood of topics on the forums would complain how ArenaNet ruined their game because they used to have great after match 1v1 battles.

Just look at the score while you type, “try hard?” or “moar!!!” or “yay! you did it!”

Then laugh as they whisper you some weak troll comment and block you immediately.

When the match is over nothing matters… who cares if they down/kill you? If you want to look at the score then look at the score dude…. not rocket science.

It takes time to get use to it. But now I just open the score board and don’t care if someones killing me cuz, the game is OVER
