Guild Wars 2

Having leader boards in the game has been pretty good. The solo leader board works well but the team system is a bit lacking. It would be nice to have the facility to register your team name and have this appear on the ladder instead of your character name. A system similar to the one being used in LOL would be great!!

It would also be good to have a Guild leader board. IE if you play as a guild in sPVP tournaments then your guild name appears on the ladder instead of your character name!! This would be an easy way to basically implement GVG.

Something like this:-

Solo Leader Board – Player name (basically random arenas)
Team Leader Board – Registered team name. Up to 10 players can be registered in a team at any time and players from this registered team must make up the tournament team!!
Guild Leader Board – Guild name. Team must be formed of a minimum of 3 or 5 players from the same guild

The solo q leaderboard is terrible because the decay system stinks. Lets have people with 20-30 games littered all over the top of the leaderboard.

Matchmaking should be fixed first.

a solution to fixing the leaderboards would be a inactive filter like they had in gw1.
basicly the filter would remove your guild from the ladder after not playing for a month.
rating would decay at the same pace as before but there were a lot less smurf guilds that were never played with again in the ladder.
it would allow a reasonable ratingdecay matching a players skilldecay while giving fame to those that are actually doing good right now.

Agree there should be some kind of inactive filter and yes a transparent matchmaking system would be great!!

I still think getting the leader boards organised in such a way that players feel some kind of accomplishment has got to be the first fix!! Guilds competing against guilds……….Teams versus Teams and yes random arena style solo join!! Get this right first and the rest will fall into place!!
